    • CAN servomotor

I'm new to RRF, can I use CAN interface servomotor for extruder?

    • Pellet extruder

Here I would like collect your pellet extruders prototypes. What is most important for such extruders? In my opinion feed section/hopper. They need proper grooves to push pellets down the pipe. Also 10mm diameter to be minimum. What about torque? 1-2Nm sufficient? Axial bearing necessary? I think so watching how strong the screw is moving up during extrusion.

Do you know stepstick in 3DP1000? Written "RD 2012".

I suspect Arduino is faulty because I haven't used second extruder driver and I swapped RAMPS and drivers. 3DP1000 schematic is avaiable on their website.

    • 3DP1000 Duet conversion

My 3DP1000 printer is old 2014 and comes with Taurino Power/RAMPS. They used terminal block rated 2A to route cables outside control box. That was bad decision because you can use ony low powered hot-end means you can't use pellet extruders. I blown two terminal blocks and replaced with standard DSUB25. Now heating works.

I also updated old Marlin from their website: X1000servoDUALd.zip
After that extruders (both) does not turn. Cables are ok and firmware compiled to min temp 0 so that I don't need heat up.

My question is who use 3dp1000 here and how successfull was conversion to Duet. I have their Duet box x1000-asy-0042 for newest machines.

    • RE: Mosquito hot end...yes or no?

E3D is overpriced and dissaster for 3mm filament - the idea of M6/M7 thread without locking screw. I made myself better hot on lathe. Slice will soon release new high flow system. I'm curious about Micron Turbo Flow from Israel. Wasp makes very nice hotend LT/HT cartridge - I could adopt it to 2.85 and V6 radiator. This is how it should be done.

3DP1000 printer uses TSM23P-2AG stepper with servo both with Marlin (Sure Print upgrade) and Duet (Workbench models). Anyone could help figure out how to connect/configure with Duet?

or is it possible to run two external using the CONN_LCD, five external on the breakout board and five internal on the board?

      Yes you can do that.

Is this a one-off machine, or something you plan to replicate? If you plan to replicate it, then the Duet 3 series may be a better bet because it can drive Nema 34 motors directly. We demonstrated that at the TCT show last year.

Details please. I'd like to run in on Vision 2448.
