      It's odd that the displayed height is changing - it should remain constant at 0.20mm.

      M912 is for adjusting the CPU temperature reading. To adjust the bed heater reading at room temperature, I suggest you adjust the T parameter in the M305 P0 command.

      Instead of changing the tool temperature, have you considered sending T-1 to deselect it? That will set it to it's standby temperature.
