I have exactly the same problem ,
ls /dev/tty.*
it says
" no such file of directory "

total stuck guess i need to borrow a PC ??

When I run G28 ( x and y all fine ) the z axis lowers and the probe misses the bed as per picture . How can i compensate for this please .
I think i can not print with out homing all the axis first ???

Hopefully this is a silly question .
I presume that head movement in the Web control interface is defined in mm.

so when I press x+1 the X should move 1 mm ( exactly , I can hope ) .
I am at the calibration stage and just wanted to double check.

I have worked through this and have hit one problem.
When I home the z axis the x axis goes across to the side and then slowly lowers the Z but as you can see in the picture the probe is off the bed .
I have tried the X compensation Both in positive and negative plus increasing the amount Currently at -41 actual amount is more like -27 and I have amended M557 to x35 and y35 to bring the probe in . In all cases the probe does not alter its off the bed position.

Another newbie question

Do these numbers look sort of right for standard nema 17 steppers 1.8 deg
The currents are set just below there maximum rating
The X,Y,Z are v typical 1.8 deg steppers
The extruder motor is a 0.9 deg ( the stepper for the E3D titan extruder )
printer is an old formbot raptor , cartesian style .

The M92 z4000 seems very high .

I sort of get the meaning of the various lines but I dont know what is normal or at least expected ( ish )

Help please what to do next ????

BL Touch installed and seems to be working
Run : M280 P3 S10 I1 ---- probe extends
Run : M280 P3 S120 I1 ---- Probe extends , retracts , extends etc etc on about once a second . If I then touch the probe it stops and flashes red .

Run : M280 P3 S160 I1 ----- Then ran the M code to allow me to lower the Z axis as I have not set up a home for the Z acts yet ( use the Z probe )

I ended up with a Z axis number of -39.30 . the instructions then say to use that as the Z number in the G32 in the config file .

surly that number is relative to where i start the the Z moment down from ??

How do I progress on to using the bl touch as my Z stop , to say nothing to how to get it making up a bed mesh file

any help gratefully received I think I am close to finally getting to print a test cube

I see the bl touch has two GND coming from it and the are connected in the bl touch .
Due to a lack of wires coming from the slave board at the extruder is it possible to wire the two GND wires to say the GND for the permanent fan or the extruder heater ???

I have probed the duet board and I can see all the 24v GND ( neg ) are common but from what I can see the Z probe GND and Expansion pin 2 ( GND ) are NOT connected to each other or the 24v GND .
Are there any solutions to avoid running more wires over from the extruder area .

Back ground . I am converting a formbot raptor to use the duet wifi + titan extruder and E3D V6 and I am trying to keep it neat rather than a frankenstein of wires .

Sorry typo , yes extruder heat up , I have tested every thing with the M302 ( for speed ).

Ok so I have to enable Tool0 and then let the bed heat up . Then and only then I can run the extruder motor to see if I have it wired correctly .
Understand this for normal operation , but it would be nice in set up mode to be able to just run the stepper on E0.... just saying .
