Oops, yes I see that the problem is in my config, line 80

I wonder when I put that error there? Obviously since I got the Hermera and reset the thermistor values,

Sorry, I didn't realise you picked up the names from config.g otherwise I'd have looked better( I looked but in the wrong place, under "Tools").

    • RE: Head crashing in RRF3.22

      @robinS3 " ........PAUSE FOR EXPERIMENTS"

      So, Experiments.

I replaced the Z homing microswitch, left the machine in 3.11, commented out the first set of tool offsets ( X0 Y0 Z0) and with a certain trepidation, homed Z.

      No problem.

I then set a tool offset on T0 of 50mm and sent T0 to pick up the tool .
      Tpre0 collects the tool
      sets to relative moves
Lowers the bed ( but no offset has yet been applied to the tool, hence the warning in Tpren)
      resets to absolute moves
and moves out ( the tool is now over the bed at the safeheight

Tpost0 then moves the tool to the wiper, wipes the tool ,
      On completion of Tpostn

the bed rises to 0 (presumably the last height set before TPREn)
And then applies the tool offset setting (very noticeable when there's a 50mm offset)

I then reloaded RRF 3.2.2 and repeated the same set of actions.

I got the same results so there doesn't seem to be a problem in normal working
The fault is not reappearing.. I don't now what seems to have cured the system, except that the Hermera tool does not always dock correctly and sometimes you end with a locked but empty toolhead. The fault originally appeared after several such failures,

So I shall try to reproduce the failure...or perhaps just get on and print something!

    • RE: Failure commissioning Duet2 on Toolchanger

@dc42 I'd obviously been working on the problem far too long. Loading the config.g for phaedrux made me realise that motor 5 corresponded to E2 and it's defined in the config; but I had just been too fuddled and tired for it to make sense. Time to stop.

So this morning I disconnected E2, the error message disappeared, I could then home X and Y but they kept stalling out and 'homing' to false positions. But this is a CoreXY which uses both motors for a move in X or Y and if one of them isn't working then the stall detect registers the extra load as 'Home'. The Y motor plug wasn't completely settled.

I reconnected E2 and the error message did not re-appear and the static zap from the Top Plate has disappeared.

So, thank you all for refocusing me, there are a trio of lessons learned by me

      1. When you are so tired nothing makes sense, stop and go to sleep. Don't keep digging.
      2. Look at the evidence you have, the answer is probably staring you in the face.
3, The responses you get on this board are very helpful (and very quick).

      Problem apparently solved.

      @chrishamm

      I was already on v3,3

However, having played around with the addons, the offender seems to be the
      addon "DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials".

If the Privacy Essentials is enabled when DWC initiates, the the tool temperature graph and the Height map do not work (tool graph is blank, height map is not available. However, proving PE is disabled at the start, then enabling it during the session doesn't seem to affect DWC, the graph and height map stay available.
But if I then close the tab but not the browser while PE is enabled, and then re- connect to DWC n the tool graphs and height map are once again disabled. The first time I checked for Add-On effects I did not close and reconnect for each add on disabled.

(DuckDuckGo is my chosen search engine and the Privacy Essentials claims to enforce "no tracking" protocols and other good practices, although I still seem to end up with an absurd number of tracking cookies despite its actions)

So a sort of solution at my end, thank you.

Re: DWC 3.3.0-rc1 HeightMap / Temperature graph not showing

The previous thread ended with a request to check the Firefox json console.
It was interrupted by an unavoidable series of incidents (Covid and Consequences) that led to me not getting any further at the time.

I have now had a look at the console in the DWC tab :
      There's an error regularly repeating:

Not sure if this is a fault in the Firefox ( the HDD is recording numerous bad sectors so its being reolaced) or something strange in its reaction to DWC
