You would need to get Octoprint fixed to make that work. Marlin and most other firmwares don't provide any way for Octoprint to retrieve the extrusion multiplier (and the speed factor, and a whole host of other parameters) from the controller, which perhaps explains why Octoprint doesn't attempt to do it.
