    • Y homing/bed leveling/height map question

      Hello,

My printer has had a bed leveling issue from day one. I believe it may be due to the height map probing starting at the min position or the front of the bed (y axis) and the homing at the max position or the back of the bed (with the slicer). My Y axis end stop is mounted in the max position (the back). In the slicer if I move my part to print forward toward the front (the min) of the bed the part prints to the back or the max. It seems to be inverted. Could this be causing the bed leveling to be off? How would I correct this issue?

      Thank you!

    • Xinkebot Orca 2 Cygnus with Duet Ethernet/Panel Due 7i

Hello! I wanted to thank everyone that assisted me during two (2) of my latest builds. John you were very helpful, Thank you very much. I have attached photos of the new Xinkebot Orca 2 Cygnus with Duet Ethernet/ Panel Due 7i and the large format printer (1500mm x 1000mm x 1500mm) running a Duet Wifi and Panel Due 7i. They are both operating extremely well and the prints are amazing!!! • RE: Duet 2 Ethernet Major Meltdown!

I was wondering about that myself... I inspected all the fuses, and they all look good. Also, I cannot see any physical damage to the board. In the beginning the board was completely dead. I took a few minutes of sitting to get the lights to come back on... Initially, after the lights returned, the ethernet was working. After several times of off/on while running tests, it stopped lighting up..

I will follow your advice for the PanelDue. Thank you. I am not sure about the Main Processor temperature. I will pull out my IR gun and check it out. I did connect to Pronterface and input M564 H0 S0 with the main power on, and I got no response as far as movement from the axis. Not sure if there are other tests I could try??? Update: After plugging the PanelDue via USB into my laptop it appears to be working fine. I wish I could say the same for the Duet....

Hello, Thank you for your response! M39 brought back:

      SENDING:M39

My Ethernet port on the Duet no longer lights up. I am unable to get any response via ip address. M552 via Pronterface brings back:

    • RE: Duet 2 Ethernet Major Meltdown!

It looks as if I inadvertently inverted the positive and negative wires on BL Touch (wired to Heater 7/PWM 5). I thought I was switching the polarity for my new parts fan. Do I get a special award for such an ignorant mistake?? Should I order a new board and Panel Due now, or does someone know how I might rectify this problem??? Thank you!

    • Duet 2 Ethernet Major Meltdown!

Hello, My new Duet Ethernet just made a loud pop noise and all the lights went out on the board and the Panel Due 7i shut down. For a while I could not even get a light to come on. However, after waiting a bit, I was able to get the green LED 3.3v, the red LED 5v, and the red LED next to the micro usb to come on. I was then able to connect via pronterface. The M552 command showed current ip address. A minute later I was able to connect via web page. The endstop lights were on for the x and y drives. I shut down, and I unplugged them started the board back up and they turned off. I unplugged the usb and plugged it back in again. The Panel Due is lit up dimly but nothing for an interface exists. It is simply blank. Now when I try to connect via ip address I get this response "Your Duet rejected the HTTP request: page not found". I have no idea on how to proceed, can someone please direct me??? Thank you

    • RE: Starting Print in mid air???

Please find attached my config.g, and homing files. I am using a BLtouch to home Z. I configured the Z-probe offset in the config.g by moving the nozzle to the bed and entering G92 Z0. I then went to the G-code console and entered the command G30 S-1. The result was stopped at height of 0.974 the first time and 0.976 the second and so on. I updated the Z-probe trigger height to 0.97. I am able to home Z and actuate to the table. It allows me to move no farther than that. Thank you for the help, please let me know if I need to change anything or post additional files/info. I will view the video and try to disable all bed compensation.

    • Starting Print in mid air???

I am having an issue with slicing. The starting G-code I am using may be faulty. The printer homes well and moves to begin the print. However, it will not lower itself to the bed. Instead it begins the print in mid-air about 10mm of the bed. I have tried several iterations of starting code but alas no luck. In the latest I inserted several Z0 variations (no luck) and M565 Z-.945. Can anyone direct me and provide me with instruction to move forward?? Here is the latest Cura Starting code I have tried (below).

David, luckily yes. The only questionable thing for my limited knowledge is that the EO and EI endstops show a yes in the DWC for an endstop hit. The other endstops say no. However, when I trigger the other endstops, they all show yes in the DWC machine properties tab. The lights on the endstop and the board light up when triggered as they should. Not sure why the DWC registers as yes for EO and E1?? Both of them light up appropriately as well. Any thoughts??

    • RE: Cartessian U drive/endstop Homing Issues

David, Problem solved! I have found that the unused but still plugged in Z max endstop did have 24volts across the signal wire and the ground, but unfortunately they were inverted. The endstop ground was wired to the signal wire on the board and the endstop signal wire was wired to the ground. I have since swapped the wires and I am now able to home and trigger 2 endstops simultaneously. Thank you David for your assistance. I will continue on to the next step of setting up the printer.

    • RE: Cartessian U drive/endstop Homing Issues

David I have now unplugged all 3 of the "currently" unused endstops. However, if I get the machine to home correctly, I would like to use E0, E1, Z endstops with the bltouch. However I could do away with the Z endstops completely. After powering the board back up and reconnecting the DWC. The DWC machine properties tab shows EO and E1 as hit (without doing anything) and x,y,z as no. I cannot get x and y to show a hit after they are triggered now that the others are unplugged. If I plug them back in they will show as a hit on the machine properties page and using the M119 command but only separately. Thoughts????

David, I apologize I do still have the Z endstops attached to the Z drive/endstop and the EI drive/endstop. I unplugged both the endstop for E1 and the endstop for Z. After doing that none of the endstops show up as triggered when activated in the DWC using M119. However the led on the endstop does light up and the led on the board light up. When I plug both of the configured Z endstops back in, everything goes back to as it was. I am able to only home each axis separately, and the bltouch works as it should.
