    • Ease of use

Man oh man, am I happy with this stuff!
Just received my new Duet board and I have to say, setting it up is so easy! Made a config at https://configurator.reprapfirmware.org/ and downloaded the zip file. Uploaded it in the Duet and presto! One running system.

      Thank you guys!

      Absolutely flawless!
Did the whole upgrade, 3 files at once and it just did what it was supposed to do. Perfection!

      Thanks David.

      And anther suggestion.
In other systems I loved the dotted line in the temp graphs, showing the set temperature, so you can see how far the actual temp has to go.
Just a better visual reminder of what temp was set.

    • Panic stop

      Hi All,
I am having trouble with calibration and heads crashing, so it is logical that I came up with the following question:

What would it take to make a panic button that will stop whatever is happening and move the head away from the bed (or vise versa)
Ideally I would like a big red physical button next to the printer. I do not like the button on the webpage, not tactile enough for me.
Also, the button simply stops everything, but in the mean time my hot nozzle is still pressed into the bed or print.

So, what would it take to make this? Any ideas or suggestions?

    • RE: Panic stop

      Nice discussion.
But indeed, the object is to save the print and or the bed, so it would have to be an interrupt that stops the current action even while it is still being executed and the head lifted up. (or the bed dropped)

I now have a few holes and scratches on my bed surface, because the head keeps crashing into it and wants to keep moving. Horrible sounds. Emergency stop will kill the motion, but the hot end is still cooking my bed surface.

As for the button? This one would do: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/600V-10A-Trun-To-Release-Waterproof-Red-Sign-Emergency-STOP-Push-Button-Switch-High-quality-Button/32697486150.html?spm=2114.30010308.3.162.soHaTg&ws_ab_test=searchweb201556_7,searchweb201602_3_10057_10056_10065_10068_10055_10054_10069_10059_10058_10073_10017_10070_10060_10061_10052_10062_10053_10050_10051,searchweb201603_2&btsid=f78e07d8-0996-46af-92b5-e54299d1779a
