Just to confirm, we will be releasing the next batch to preorder the back end of next week, targeting a delivery schedule of November. This will be a larger batch and should see the Mainboard transition to a "normally in stock" product.

I realise that the slow ramp to general availability is frustrating people who want to get their hands on one ASAP. We are ensuring we learn from the ramp up on Duet 2 and have things "behind the scenes", like Automated Test Equipment, in a good place.

@T3P3Tony so after the New Years you will work on major updates to the Duet 2 line of boards?

Will there be a wifi version of Duet 3 soon? Then I could upgrade to Duet 3.

Duet 3 is intended to be used with a Radspberry Pi (RPi) or other single board computer (SBC), although it can also be used in standalone mode using the built-in Ethernet port and SD card. The RPi provides both Ethernet and WiFi. So we don't plan to make a version of Duet 3 with WiFi on board.

@CrazyCreator yep, although if you don't use the single board computer you will miss out on some of the future features like plugins that require the SBC to work.

No need to rush. Tony did say "future plugins". I must confess that although I have bought and fitted an RPi, I'm running "stand alone" because at the moment, I don't see any compelling reason why I should do otherwise.
