I am building my Delta with a DUET WIFI. There are some points I havend found a solution jet.
I use a 5V 15W and 24V 100W Powersuply
The PanelDue is always shinig brigth wihle the 5 V System is on. Could I switch the 5V Cable to turn off and on the Display? or did I miss a funktion.
I have not found the button on the PanelDue to switch the Powersupply. How do I do that?On the elektrical side, my Motors are pretty loud while standing, during movements on the otherhand they are realy smoth.
I use 1/16 with interpolation at 1A with these Motors http://eu.stepperonline.com/09deg-nema-17-bipolar-stepper-motor-2a-46ncm-17hm192004s-p-122.htmlIs there any wiki page where all G-Code comands for configurations are listed, and not hid (or organized, depends on the view).

In regards to g-code commands, http://reprap.org/wiki/G-code is the place to look for current descriptions. However, I agree that understanding what some commands really do and how to use them in a particular case may require some experimentation and digging around. -

I do know this page, but there to much unrelatet comands to configure the reprap frimeware. I dont want to read them all to decide wich one I could use. -

KevinCurrently there is no facility to turn the PanelDue display off via gcode, but it could be added. I guess the alternative would be to add a Display Off button to PanelDue, and make any touch on the screen turn it on again. Or I could implement both.
If your power supply on/off is controlled by the Duet's PS_ON output, then you can define macros to turn the power on and off. Any macros that you put in the /macros folder of the SD cared automatically appear in the macro lists of both DWC and PanelDue.

Are you using M80/M81 to turn the power on and off? If so then I could make M80 also turn the PanelDue on and M81 turn it off, instead of adding a new gcode.

Yeah nice idea, but there is a Problem is, I would need a network device to swich on my Printer.
I tought about adding a hardware button and conectng it to the DUET to controll the M80/M81.
A software button to swich the PanelDue off and back on by touch is much nicer solution. -

A software button to turn off the paneldue's screen will be a nice addition!

@windiesel mentions the motors being loud when standing still. I just started a thread about that earlier today. It appears that I am not alone here. I bought new motors and have not tested them yet, but I'd be curious to know if anyone else is experiencing this, and if so, with what motors and what current settings, so we can see if there is a common cause.

Yeah my motors are doing that, too. Kysan 1124090.

My stepper motors are 42HE3D-A1 from reprap (which may just be a rebranded 42BYGH4017P1 NEMA 17), 1.7A, 1.8 degree.
I get substantial noise at the default holding current, which I think it 60%. Could turn that setting down, but curious why some people get this noise and some do not, seemingly regardless of this setting.

I found the G-Code page, nice work.

Latest PanelDue firmware is at https://github.com/dc42/PanelDueFirmware/releases.
The filament monitor is still in beta. We want to evaluate a laser sensor similar to the one that Prusa uses before we go into production.

Any update on turning PanelDue off/on?
I'm fine with any solution you can implement easily.Or is it possible to hook up the PanelDue 5V to an GPIO pin and drive it that way with M42?

Can you suggest a specification for this feature? For example:

When should the display be turned off? Just when M81 is executed, or in response to other events as well?

When should it be turned on again? By M81? When the screen is touched?

autosleep would be an absolute great feature
I would like to have a on/off button which sends M80/M81 because otherwise I have to use Macros to start my printer or the web interface…
I d love to see more stats on the front page.
is there a wishlist thread for the paneldue? I have tons of Ideas what could be better
By the way there is a spelling mistake in the german version under settings the button "Farbe invertieren" flips the display upside down and does not "invert collors" it would be right with something like "Anzeige drehen"
