      @dc42
      As the toolboard is going to be using TMC2209's, what are the chances that you will also add support for sensorless homing for the TMC2209's?
      I only ask because software UART has been added to the LPC version of RRF so feedback from external drivers is now possible.

      Owns various duet boards and is the main wiki maintainer for the Teamgloomy LPC/STM32 port of RRF. Assume I'm running whatever the latest beta/stable build is

        Yes I plan to add stall detection to the TMC22xx driver.

          @dc42 so you plan to also upgrade duet maestro with TMC2209 and provide sensorless homing? I believe there should be and hardware change to the pcb, as the DIAG pin of the driver is not connected to the MCU.

            Yes we are planning a Duet Maestro replacement with TMC2209 drivers and other improvements. It's currently at the design stage. It may cost a little more than the existing Maestro.

                Oh boy. This is going to drain my wallet 🙂

                The absolute killer feature would be swappable drivers, the Duet Wifi is slowly becoming ancient right now and the Duet3 is absolute overkill for many applications and also a very steep entry barrier because of the price 😕 And the current 1.5A limit of the Maestro is just a tad too low.

                I would love new "mid tier" Duet board for my Delta.

                  It will come in WiFi and Ethernet versions. At least one of them (probably both) will also support direct connection to a Raspberry Pi.

                    Cherry on top and a slice of Pi(e) on the side as well? (that answered itself:)

                      @dc42 is there any time estimation when the boards will be available for purchase?

                        We've only recently started the detailed design, so it will be several months before they are available.
