I'm using a Bondtech BMG-M with Mosquito. I think that will work.

      Thanks for your help!

Good news is, that the steppers are attached to the printer. Bad news is, my printer is louder than before 😵

Joking aside. Now i seem to have a Z axis problem. It makes a terrible very very loud noise when moving. Just found out, that the steppers are making noises when moving and the noise is transfered to the Z axis thread and will be boosted.

Am I doing something wrong? Changed the currents in the config

M906 X1600 Y1600 Z1600 E700 I50 ; set motor currents (mA) and motor idle factor in per cent

        I'm a little bit irritated now 😞

Yeah that's not right. Are those the new motors you replaced or the old ones?

Do they sound the same detached from the frame?

            Are the motor phases matched?

That's the new ones! 😞 Yes, they are also quite noisy when detached. Already checked the phases. Also played around with the settings but without success. I have no idea what to do next.

              My current settings are

I would say something is wrong with the motor.

Test the Z motor on another driver just to be sure.

How fast are you trying to move the motor?

Both Z steppers have the same issue.

Does the model label on the motor match what you ordered?

And what is the model? Maybe we can check the specs again.

Did you try the motor on a different driver to eliminate the Z driver? You're using both motors on the Z driver, correct?

Nope, didn't try a different driver. Just connected a Creality 42-34 and it works.

You miss my point. I'm wondering how the motors will sound when wired to a seperate driver rather than the Z driver which is wired in series internally.

Well those motors are identical to those I use in my corexy and they do not sound like that at all. Something is amiss.

                                  Same behaviour on X/Y drivers.

                                    Thanks for testing.

At this point I'm not sure what to make of those motors. They sound awful to be sure. I would return them and get something else. Perhaps they aren't as advertised?

17HM19-2004S1 is what you listed above for the X and Y axis. For Z you had listed 17HS13-0404S1, which are you using for Z?

Ah, those are quite a bit different than what you had linked above.

                                        https://www.amazon.de/Stepperonline-Stepper-Bipolar-Degrees-Printers/dp/B07Z1D1ZJY/ref=sr_1_1?__mk_de_DE=ÅMÅŽÕÑ&dchild=1&keywords=17HM19-2004S1&qid=1593035734&sr=8-1

Which I see now is actually the X Y motors, not your Z motor.

Unfortunately the Z motors you've got are not a great choice. They are very high inductance. They may still be usable, but you will need to reduce your max speed for z and they may still be loud. It also looks like you've got them set to use 600ma current when they are max of 400ma.

                                        Try M203 Z300 and M906 Z300

These would be a much better choice: https://www.omc-stepperonline.com/nema-17-stepper-motor/nema-17-bipolar-1-8deg-22ncm-31oz-in-1-33a-2-8v-42x42x34mm-4-wires.html?mfp=148-bipolar-unipolar[Bipolar]%2C183-body-length-mm[34]%2C71-single-shaft-dual-shaft[Single Shaft]%2C21-shaft-type[D-Cut]

I'd still be curious if M203 Z300 and M906 Z300 improved them at al. Probably still be loud though.
