@Veti to both motors or just the motor having the problem. With power to the motors?

unplug the motor from the duet (with the duet off).
measure the resistance of each phase of both motors at the plug.
they should all be the same.

do you know the specs of the motor?

i found a 2.2 ohm motor and that one is 1.7 A, which would mean you are running way to little current.

Kay3d told me 1.5a so I went to 1200ma and the stuttering got worse backed it down until the stuttering has appeared to stop at 1050ma

                    so can you confirm.
while the motors are powered, you can move one easily by hand and one not easily.
moving that motor to a different driver does not change this behaviour.
increasing the motor current makes it worse.

on thing to test. disconnect both motors and move the head by hand. see if there is any resistance that feels stronger in some areas.

the next thing to try is to replace the motors with the original ones for testing.

also can you confirm that you are on firmware 3.1.1?

Think I figured it out. I looked to be a combination of the wheels on y axis a little to tight and the motor amperage. I appreciate the help and you sticking with me through it.
