use M119
https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Gcode#Section_M119_Get_Endstop_Status
to manually test your endstops.
if you can not get them to trigger, there is a problem with your wiring.
-
@Veti I tested endstops already under settings and machine specific. X and Y work
-
G1 X-1.3000000000000007 Y1 F6000 ; go to first bed probe point and home Z
replace that with
G1 X50 Y50 F600
when exactly does it try to move past the endstops?
during the first move? -
@Veti Yes. I tried that setting and no good. Its random in which direction it goes to home and it just slams at the end of each axis.

i have never heard of this happening.
let me get this straight.
you home your printer. it moves to the right?
you restart the printer it moves to the left?post the output of M119 when no endstop is pressed.
post the output of M119 when only the enstop for the x axis is pressed -
@Veti
When I turn it on, nothing moves unless i press the home button. There is no telling which direction it will go if i center the extruder in the middle of the area. Where am I supposed to set the hotend before I turn on the printer? -
@shatty
please test the stepper motor direction using this
https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Choosing_and_connecting_stepper_motors#Section_Checking_connected_stepper_motorsreport for x y and z
-
Heres a video of what it does....

-
please do the testing from the webui to rule out a bad touch screen connection.
-
btw what is that strange sound at the start of the homing?

TS is fine.
Anyways....hitting any positive value will move each toward the endstop switch...The Z is not right..Looks like they are fighting each other

The Z axis motors are fighting each other.
-

that would indicate that your motors are turning in the wrong direction.
-
@Veti
OK Let me fix that. -
@shatty said in Newbie: New Install on Ender 5 Plus---Willing to PAY$$:
The Z axis motors are fighting each other.
that means on of your motors is wired in the opposite direction
-

TS is fine.
i beg to differ. The bad command 55 at the end is an indication.
-
@Veti Thats because I hit stop
Not the motors are moving away from endstops with hitting the positive values. Z still fighting each other. They are in series config because there are 2 on 1 driver
-
Paneldue5i is connected with ribbon cable only. How can it be wrong?
-
@shatty said in Newbie: New Install on Ender 5 Plus---Willing to PAY$$:
Z still fighting each other.
that mean you have to reverse the wiring of one of your stepper motors
