Duet 3 Mini 5+ unable to connect via browser
-
Been trying to setup my Duet 3 Mini 5+, but it keeps stating:
"Your Duet rejected the HTTP request: page not found
Check that the SD card is mounted and has the correct files in its /www folder"YAT shows it is connected successfully has a valid IP.
I've tried reconfiguring via the reprap site, different sd cards, different cables, assigning static IP, letting the router assign an IP, etc....any idea where I am going wrong? Thanks in advance!

Do you have the www folder (and the correct DWC files in it) on the SD card? That error looks more like a problem with opening the requested page rather than a network/router error.
-
@gloomyandy I believe so. I've redownloaded the newest duetwebcontrol.zip and extracted it to the sd card /www file.
Btw, I'm a big fan of your LPC/STM32F4 Duet firmware fork
-
@gloomyandy yeah, still the same problem.

Did you start with the very basic config.g file that came on the SD card or did you replace it?
I received mine a week or so back and after using a terminal program to configure the WiFi and editing the config.g to enable WiFi it worked without issue.

@LevelFun, from YAT please send:
M20 P"/www"
to check that the /www folder can be accessed and get a listing. If that command returns an error, send M21, then send M20 P"/" and report the results here.

@dc42 Yat reports the following:
M115

okI've tried multiple SD cards all within spec. I know I must be doing something wrong, I just don't know what

@LevelFun, I don't think you're doing anything wrong, I think the SD card interface isn't working on your Duet. We're using a new (to us) chip to protect the microcontroller from ESD on the SD card interface, and on the first production batch we had a few boards on which not all the pads under that chip were securely soldered to the board. Unfortunately it's possible for a pad to be making contact when we test the board, but to lose contact when e.g. the temperature changes. I think that's what's happened in your case.
Please accept my apologies for this inconvenience, and ask your supplier to replace your Duet. You can point your supplier to this thread as authorization.
-
@dc42 No worries. I purchased it from Filastruder here in the US. I'll message them this evening pointing them to this thread per your instructions. Thank you for your help!
-
@dc42 well, I returned the faulty board per your instruction. Filastruder (my supplier) was quick to respond and send me a prepaid label. Sadly, they say there is no current stock. Is there a time frame as to when the Duet 3 Mini 5+ will be back in stock for US retailers? I feel like I'm getting the crap end of the stick in this situation (ie - buying a new board, having the new board be faulty, having an offline printer until I receive a replacement, having no current replacement available). Isn't there anything else that can be done by the Duet3D team to help make this right?
-
@LevelFun Sorry about that. Unfortunately they are being sent out as fast as they are being produced. Hopefully it won't be much longer.
-
@Phaedrux Any updates on when stock is being sent out? Still awaiting the replacement for my faulty board. Thanks in advance.

Request that your original board be repaired since it is just solder joint failures. Maybe that is quicker than waiting for a repalcement?
-
@timcurtis67 Were that an option to begin with, I would have, but the only option provided was to return for a replacement.
-
@LevelFun the next run is starting this week (delayed by about 3 weeks for various reasons). We have been trying to give all our resellers a chance to purchase boards as well so we have not been able to send Filastruder any recently.
We will be sending them some ASAP and I am sure they will be sending you a replacement straight after that!

@dc42 - is there a way to tell based on a serial number or any other marking if my board has the same problem?
It's a new printer that's been operating for something like a week. It did a couple prints, but mostly around calibration, so nothing too long.
Yesterday, I launched a 2 hour print and after about 70 minutes, the printer froze in place and DWC reported it couldn't find the gcode file anymore.
After a reboot of the machine, I couldn't connect to it anymore. YAT showed an IP was properly assigned, but I couldn't list any files on the SD card.
Interestingly enough, when I ran M21 - I got a positive answer that the card was mounted and I could again run the printer.
I'll be doing more stress testing today, but wanted to see if there is another way to be sure that's the issue.
-
@pkos, it likely has the same issue. I'm sorry for the inconvenience, and I authorise a warranty replacement.
-
Understood. I'll talk to E3D to get a replacement.
Thank you

@dc42 Hi unfortunately my Mini 5+ appears to have the same problem as Pkos... earlier today it got stuck and was no more reachable... after many tries of power off finally it came back... but by time to time it does not list the files (system / marco) and does not respond anymore to http... sad ...

@oc_geek Would you be able to start a new thread so we can do some basic troubleshooting and if required use that thread as your warranty claim? Thanks.
