Maybe it would be best to start from the top.

Only update the firmware if you've got a reliable connection to the web interface now.

If you still have access to DWC. Upload these 3 zip files, one at a time. Don't extract them. Reboot after each. Use M115 to verify the firmware has been applied.

          https://github.com/Duet3D/RepRapFirmware/releases/download/3.0/Duet2and3Firmware-3.0.zip
          https://github.com/Duet3D/RepRapFirmware/releases/download/3.2/Duet2and3Firmware-3.2.zip
That will get your firmware and DWC up to date.

For your config, might be a good idea to run through the configurator tool and generate a fresh set for RRF3.

No. Upload them to the system tab in the web interface. One zip file at a time. Start with 2.05.1. It will prompt you to update. And reboot.

And you're trying to upload it to the system tab?

Can you go to the console tab and send M122 and copy and paste the results?

In the system tab you'd find your config.g and the homing files, etc.

That's where you would upload Duet2Firmware-2.05.1.zip

And you're using the upload file button?

Can you post a screen shot of the error?

If you're on windows you can use the print screen button on your keyboard and paste that into paint and save it as a jpeg.

Im not unzipping it. I go to upload the file it fails.... upload file it fails...
upload the file it loads 1/17 then fails... upload again 2/17 then fails and eventually it loads all the files then updates. usually between files Im having to wait some time to try the next file or it doesn't work at all.
im working on the 3rd zip now

Im having more trouble with the 3rd then the first 2
I can only get it to 5 / 55 files before failing

When and where did you purchase the Duet?

Uploading the zip files shouldn't be this painful. Could be SD card writing problem or it could be the wifi module.
