    Something blew on my board when I tried to add a simple filament switch. I did manage to attach gnd to 3.3V and + to gnd... Does this kill the whole thing? It now seams totally dead and I can find no burnt fuses

      @pro3d Can you describe:

      • How you hooked up the switch?
      • Which Duet board?
      • What kind of switch?

      Did you check the fuses?
      Do any LEDs light up?

          Oh.. sorry for lack of info
          D2 wifi 1.04
          I hooked up gnd to 3.3 and + to gnd and signal to signal.

          Switch is just a standard mechanical endstop switch

          One blue led lights up but everything is dead
          Fuses are all fine

            That would cause a short-circuit on the 3.3 Volt power supply and could cause either the 5Volt or 3.3 Volt (or both) power supplies to fail.

              @pro3d but why? A normal switch(2 pin endstop uses the GND and signal pins on duet board? Why would you use the 3.3V pin?
              probably blew up the 3.3v line and 5v line....

                The endstop did have 3 pins. gnd, + and signal. It was a filament detector switch that is basically just a microswitch sof some kind I think. This is how I connected

                  Thank you. I hooked up 3.3 from the4 controller to gnd on the switch

                      Hey mr. I hav enot been able to chack anything. I pulled the board and replaced it. I can try to connect by usb soon. There was only one blue led lighting up after the kill

                        Photos of the board may show a blown component. Depending on how extensive the damage was it may be recoverable by a firmware flash...

                        Which LED specifically is lit when connected to power? What's it labeled as?
