If you are careful you might be able to (gently!) pry the 6 way molex plastic adaptor off the 6 pins and put it back on the other way round. Before you do that, if you look at how the plug fits on to the pins, then out it on the other way around (just on the tips,) to see if it is better or worse.

        Good Tip.

That works not easy to get off but definitely enough clearance now need to re wire the printer now for the reversed connections

yeah, the downside is needing to re-wire. Is that part of the nimble mount essential or could a mount with more clearance there be designed?

There just isn't enough clearance between the mounting hole and the connector to be honest the pillar on the Nimble mount is 6mm centred on the 2.9 mm hole.

you would have to remove nearly all the material on the side and also reduce the diameter of the screw head for the clip to pass it, it is easier (and safer IMHO) to turn the connector round

Your Welcome Tony it wasn't a big issue on the beta with the collar mount as that could be rotated was still tight to get at the clip to release it but it was possible this one you can't get it on without removing the retaining clip.

I haven't started wiring mine yet so rotate the connector before wiring seems to be the consensus?

Edit - done, not too bad actually used a plumber's wrench (not necessarily a recommendation).

I have modified the adapter and created a new version.
I have modified the pillar closest to the 6 way plug to avoid the latch all together.
The bolt now sits under the latch.

OK, added the file to the Thingiverse page as well.
Only added the STL version, called V2.2 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2453322

Sorry that I didn't release it in Thingiverse straight away. Will be tricky to print, lot of support needed.

I was thinking that given the large nut under the adaptor is hard to access with the adaptor in place, for example to tighten the hotend if it gets loose, maybe the adaptor could incorporate a nut trap to fit the M12? nut provided by Duet. This way the nut would be captive, the heatsink could be screwed tightly into it easily, and then the hotend position set by tightening the heatbreak into the nozzle at the desired position.
