Keenovo silicone heater reaply

Hi , all
During some upgrade on my idex printer I notice that my bed keenovo heater have a big air poket in the middle.
Any body have experience how to solve this.
Or how to remove it without damging it.
If it is removed successfully I think I can attach it back with high temp RTV.
Any advice would be much apreciated

Is the heater still working? A lot of times the heater gets damaged if there isn't a way to conduct the heat away from the heat pad. At minimum you will have a scorched heater and you may have trouble with the pad even if you re-attach it successfully. It is certainly worthwhile trying but you should be prepared to have to replace the heat pad.
Also, if you end up busting things during the pad removal, you can confidently say to yourself that it was damaged anyway. In other words you don't need to feel too badly about breaking the pad.

I did already ordered new one but it is at least 3 weeks delivery, so I will try tonsave this one to use it until new one gets here

Citrus oil cleaner works well for dissolving the glue. Then soap and water for cleaning off the citrus residue.

Keenovo's instructions for removing the heaters involves heating it up to soften the adhesive and then peeling/scraping.

If there's an air bubble under the heater there's a good chance it is scorched and should not be reused.
This is what mine looked like after it developed a bubble when the adhesive let go:

I replaced it with the same type heater without the adhesive. I used high temperature silicone to mount it and it has been holding for at least 3 years. I don't think it's ever going to let go.

Just curious about how you you proceeded with the silicone. How did you end up getting a thin (but not too thin) coat onto the build plate. Did you end up rolling out any excess silicone? How did you get out any air bubbles (or did you not worry about that)? Did you proceed like with the normal adhesive, attach a bit, roll out any air bubbles etc etc and work your way across attaching a little bit at a time until you got all the way across the heater? Did you clamp the assembly for curing?

@jens55 I applied as even a layer of silicone as I could to the plate, then put down one corner and rolled it down as I slowly worked it until the whole thing was attached. I finally stacked some weight on top and let it sit for a couple days to cure.

I considered vacuum bagging it but the silicone needs air to cure. Maybe vacuum bagging to squish it down hard, then taking it out of the bag and letting it sit for a couple days would work.

@jay_s_uk Yes, i ordered one with lower power density. And also to make it smaller than the bed in order to apply some RTV frame around. As far in EU delivery from keenovo will be slow I also ordered fermio labs one 300x300 with built in 150 deg C protection that is good price 49 EUR and fast delivery. IT also produced by keenovo.
Original one 300x400 was 900 wats, the fermio one is 500 W. With the original one hotend fan was havinf hard time
Also to balance things I am adding 250 W chamber heater with fan for abs and other warping materials
