Input Shaper Crash?

I just installed the Adafruit LIS3DH accelerometer and ran my first tuning successfully. The accelerometer is working and giving correct data using the accelerometer plugin. Then i installed the input shaper plugin, and ran all 8 profiles using the default 2 motion recording feature. i started with NONE, then went down the list.

The problem is now i tightened my belts and want to do the routine again, but input shaper crashes every time. I begin recording a motion, it moves one distance on the X axis, then the web interface hangs, loses WiFi, and the Duet 3 Mini 5+ reboots itself. This happened more than 10 times in a row, and i cant get out of this loop and get it working again.

I still have the original profiles available i can view the data. Also i ran the ringing tower STL file and recorded about 40% of it. Is it possible i filled up the available storage space on the board? I thought it stored to the SD card.

Any help would be appreciated!

@rogerpodacter what firmware version are you using?

@dc42 I'm using v3.4.0. But i guess things are fine now, i came in to work this morning, turned on the printer and i can record new motions normally. No crash. I dont understand because yesterday i rebooted the machine multiple times.

Anyway must have been a weird glitch. So far input shaping is pretty cool!

now I need help again. Yesterday i setup my accelerometer and ran for a few hours, using temporary wiring to test it. This morning i disconnected and ran permanent wiring, a smaller ribbon cable, and the accelerometer could not be found. I finally reverted back to yesterday's wiring, which is larger gauge, and still the accelerometer cannot be found.

I have tried separating the CS and INT pins out by themselves to remove interference, but nothing has worked. I am going insane, what the heck am i missing here? Is there a code i can run to troubleshoot what's going on?

@rogerpodacter finally got it back working. this is bad, i tried 4 different wiring types today, all high end shielded conduit cables from my work. i finally had to go to individual large 24 gauge totally separated to get this thing to read. i dont know if its the distance of the wire runs (about 30 inches), or the low quality accelerometer, or the Duet board. Duet boards use pretty high end components so i doubt thats the issue. But usability on this is not good. unfortunately Duet needs to add more accelerometers as options, and fast, to stay competitive. anyway, back to having fun tuning.

@rogerpodacter Many people have found that using a USB3 cable works very well with the LIS3DH see: https://forum.duet3d.com/topic/22878/software-package-3-3beta3-released/68?_=1624809172098 for details of the recommended way to wire it.
