G30 H?

@Falkia
God morgon Fredrik,
That is what I expected that you have, have those distinct clicks so I think I have my setting close.
My bed is hardened glass cheap table top Ø600mm and it is not perfectly flat. I had my hopes that this would be taken care of with the levelling data collected.Cheers

@tecno
The H parameter is meant to compensate effector tilt. But in your case it looks, like it's an irregular error.
Do you have a loose rod or too much play somewhere?
How old is the smart effector? I've read, they change their behaviour over the years. -
@o_lampe
The SmartEffector is new.
I do not think I have any loose rod as I have rod pairs axially tensioned with springs.
But the carbon fibre rods might be flexy with a Ø8mm 600mm long. -
Do you get reliable trigger height in a single position?
-
Yes it looks like it
-
When you run G29 on your Deltas does the Z-probe on display always flash red 1000?
Been playing around and I can hear every nozzle contact against the glass but not every time I get RED1000
-
@tecno
DWC not always shows the right z-probe status. It depends on the refresh rate.
But there should be an indicator LED on the SmartEffector, IIRC. -
Yes the indicator on SmartEffector lights up, so then it should be OK.

The Smart Effector sends a pulse a few hundred milliseconds long when it triggers. DWC only reads the status a few times per second, so it doesn't always register it. What matters it that the green LED on the effector flashes when it makes contact, and doesn't flash when the effector is not moving.
The readings look very irregular. My guess is that there is a lot of noise in the system, which is causing random variation in the trigger height. Here are some things to check:
- Make sure you are using the M558 parameters recommended at https://docs.duet3d.com/en/Duet3D_hardware/Accessories/Smart_Effector.
- If you are probing with the bed heater on, try using the M558 B1 parameter to temporarily turn it off during probing. A few types of bed heater produce enough magnetic field to affect Z probes.
- Make sure the print cooling fan is off during probing.
- If all else fails, try probing with the hot end cold (heater and hot end fan both off) in case the hot end fan is causing the noise.

Just wondering if there's any conclusion what caused the "Himalayan" landscape?

@o_lamp
I suspect mechanical issues, will add some supports this week.
The 3 stands are only bolted to PETG corners. -
Testing these to see if it gets better (what is the common name?) Vantskruv in Swedish.
