Duet 2 Wifi fan connector gone broken :(

Hello @T3P3Tony,
I tested two Creality3D DC Brushless 24V Fans, the Creality3d blower fan (24v). They all work fine on the other pins (like always on pins).
Best,
Veit -
Please post your config.g so we can see how your fans are configured.

Good morning, @droftarts
of course. I added it to this post.
config.gLet me know if you can find some thing that is wrong with it.
Best,

M106 P0 S0 I0 F500 H T45
It looks like you're missing a number after the H. H1 or H-1. For the print cooling fan you'd want H-1
-
@Phaedrux No it is not missing, I have H, H1 and H-1 in the config file. So everything should work like it did for some time before it broke.
Best,
Veit -
This is what @Phaedrux is refering to
; Fans
M106 P0 S0 I0 F500 H T45 ; Set fan 0 value, PWM signal inversion and frequency. Thermostatic control is turned onIt is missing a parameter after the 'H',
May I suggest you try
; Fans
M106 P0 S0 I0 F500 H1 T45 ; Set fan 0 value, PWM signal inversion and frequency. Thermostatic control is turned onHTH

@PaulHew Hey Paul,
I have tested this settings already and it did'n change anything, the fan0 and fan1 both are not working any more.
Best,
Veit -
hi @Veit sorry for the delay.
Your config.g looks odd as @droftarts already pointed out. is anything connected to Fan 0? This line
M106 P0 S0 I0 F500 H T45
should be eitherM106 P0 S0 I0 F500 H-1
If its a part cooling fan or:M106 P0 S1 I0 F500 H1 T45
if its a thermostatically controlled fan for the hotend. The fact that it was working and is now not implies that It looks like something is blowing fan mosfets in your setup. Please can you triple check everything and confirms it works with the last remaining fan output.
-
@T3P3Tony Hey Tony,
I tested the remaining outputs with all of my fans that I ever had connected to the duet, all are working fine. I don't have any problem. I didn't change any thing on the connections in the last time so I can't tell you why the F0 and F1 are broken.Best,
Veit -
In the M106 command, H without a number after it will be interpreted as H0. So that fan will only turn on if the heater 0 (normally bed) temperature is a above a certain value.
To test fan 0 output, run:
M106 P0 S1 H-1
which should turn the fan on. Send the same command with S0 instead of S1 and that should turn the fan off. Replace P0 by P1 or P2 to test the other fans.

@dc42 I haven't tested the M106 P0 S1 H-1 jet, but I turned each fan to 100% with the web interface. Only P2 worked. And every fan should be turned on when I start the printer correct ? (at least that is what he did, before it broke. And What he does with P2)
I also heated the hotend and the bed to my normal printing temperatures (also tried test prints) with should turn on the fans, correct ?Best,

VeitOn Duet WiFi/Ethernet, fan 1 defaults to being thermostatically controlled by the hot end temperature, so it won't be controllable from the web interface. You can change that in config.g.

Hey @dc42,
I Just checked it, as I assumed the fan0 and 1 are not working. Fan2 is working.

VeitIn that case it looks like the Fan0 and Fan1 mosfets are blown. This typically happens if a fan is connected to them the wrong way round, or you short circuit the connector, or you connect an air pump to the fan output without taking precautions to limit the surge current.
-
Good morning @dc42,
I donโt think that I did something thing wrong. I connected the fans to the board, the right way around. And it worked after some prints they stoped working. I didnโt change anything on the wiring. Or connected different fans, air pump.

have you cheak that the conetctor and groud are short to one another hen crank the fan to 100 percent or dose it output the volotage correctly and try power the fan from alwayon fan conector and try swap the fan to another fan i have the same fan and it gave up a weak ago so i switch to 5015 fan
