Hello to all, I tried to make my printer draw a cube, but I find a problem in the central part of the print bed. (See picture alt text

This happens in any position both 0,0 with Simplify3D the central object is not square while with Repeiter draw a triangle

What does this problem depend on?

      Thank you in advance

@Mauxx You had non-squares two days ago in https://forum.duet3d.com/topic/12947/configuring-reprapfirmware-scaraprinter/3 also, did the nonsquares have errors in the same direction and what did you change so the situation is better now?

I suspect something like mistake in gear-calculation for configuration or wrong arm lengths (did you measure from hinge middlepoint to middlepoint and are the hinges at one definite axis each).

(BTW you created a new thread with same title, maybe an admin can merge)

@Mauxx An additional idea: microstepping means low torque. I don't know how you realized your gear (does it have a hight friction?), but maybe at this position the torque is too low or friction too high for an angle change and the change "drags on" and produces the curve. You could try setting the steppers to full step to test it.

@JoergS5 thank you for answer me

I change H in S in homing config
But the motorstepping should be right
I have both arm of 200mm and 1/32
Printer work bad only in centre of area, seem that Distal joint doesn't move when draw central cube

@Mauxx I don't understand "nonsquare object work nice", do you mean it is ok in the middle?

What do you mean by Distal joint doesn't move: is the force of the stepper too low or is it a software problem? Could you make an image of the arms, hinges and gears?

@dc42 could be a kinematic problem?

@Mauxx I think the algorithms in the firmware are correct, they are simple trigonometric functions. No place for errors IMHO. I expect wrong measurement in arm length, angle or similar (maybe a hinge with play). So I could have an idea if I see your printer arms, hinges, gears.

Are those G0 or G1 moves? IIRC, some point-to-point gcode is not interpreted as a straight line in SCARA mode.

                          G1 moves
But in the picture i put 3 cube in print with Simplify3D and the only one not square is in the axis
