Duet 3 Mini 5+ : Initial announcement

Hi i would have a question on the expansion card(s) for the Mini 5+
Have to run 7x Drivers so i'm i getting it right that i would need 2x Duet 3 Toolboards (via CAN) ?
EDIT: i found the answer in the electrical connection documentation -> Mini 2+ expansion card -
Is there already information how many DHT´s will be supported? I suspect that is related to the number of SPI that are accessible? Regards, Lucas

Should get mine dec 31st from filastruder.com.
It will go in a Ender 3 Pro stock with BL touch.
I'll try to do a nice writeup and how to.

mine has been sitting in "customs" since the 23rd and i just know it wont arrive before the 1st then they are going to try and shaft me on vat and duty as brexshit came into full play, then the fight begins.

Hi,
I ordered my boards from overseas now. I know, that does not make any sense, but E3D are to slow for me at the moment.

It would appear the mini-5+ has the same hole spacing/foot print as the Duet-2 as my mini-5+ fitted on the same mount as the Duet-2

I got my board 2 minutes ago.
It traveled from the USA to good old Germany faster than the guys in the UK made it available on there stock. Strange world.... -
@oc_geek Not sure why e3d did not list their stocks before the Christmas break, hopefully they will soon.
The mini 2+ will go into production next week.
Stocks of the mini 5+ will start to go out to our other resellers next week. We have not got enough from this production run for all of them

I'm sorry but the drawing do not seams to be accurate. I designed a holder based on the drawing and the board do not fit.
So I measured a hole distance :
Long site: 115mm
Sort site: 92mmThe drawing says:
Long site: 115mm
Sort site: 96mmI'm sorry, but the 96 must be wrong. I measured 92mm, and the printed 96mm part is to wide that the board to not fit.

@Chriss check the drawing again the 96 is from the edge of the board and the holes are 4 in from that edge making 92 as per your measurements

When using an acrylic or other material to install the electronics, a PDF(or other) with accurate size that can be used as a template to print and mark the holes is of much help.

Wow.. you are right....
This is so hard... the drawing shows the distance from hole to hole on the long site. And the distance from the board "west site" to the hole center at the "east site". Wow.... they fooled me... again.

Overall dimensions and mounting hole positions on the Duet 3 Mini are the same as for the Duet WiFi/Ethernet. However, the motor connectors are on the opposite side of the board compared to Duet 2.

@T3P3Tony Do you confirm the official name of the expansion is going to be "Mini 2+" cse noone of the resellers know about its existance... thanks
