Delta mesh leveling not working.
-
I am new to duet, just installed duet 2 wifi on my flsun q5.
all is working well except when I print there is no bed mesh compensation. so my nozzle is grinding into the bed on the corners.
I have tried everything I can think of to get it working.
Ran g32 and g29 then printed and same result.
put g29 s1 in start gcode. same thing, grinding my bed.
Every time I home g28 then g29 s1 it tells me "Warning: G29: the height map was loaded when the current Z=0 datum was not determined probing. This may result in a height offset."
Any help? -
Please post your config.g, homedelta.g, bed.g and your slicer start gcode. It would also help to see the results of M122 and M98 P"config.g".

@phaedrux
I spent all day going through the guides and nothing changed.
Every time I the bed map it look good. I can see where my bed is uneven a little.
When I print the nozzle grinds into the bed and within 40 mm is printing in air then back to grinding the bed. -

Start gcode
G28
G29 S1You should be doing a calibration between homing the towers and loading the heightmap. Add G32 between the G28 and G29.
-
@phaedrux
I don't see how I can do that. I have a removeable probe. I tried that and it just started printing with the probe attached. -
@phaedrux
I put a pause "M25" on the start gcode after the g29, so I could take the probe off. That worked, It is printing now, Is that how it should be done? Is there something I am still doing wrong? With the factory firmware you only need to use the probe once or if you change something, not before every print. So taking it of mid print is not an issue. -
Well when you home the towers you are assuming that the homed height is correct for the distance to the bed, but it might not be. Normally you'd do at least a single G30 at the center of the bed to re-establish an accurate position for the z0 point before loading the heightmap. But with a delta i's even more common to do a quick calibration run before each print just for best results. That is complicated by the removable probe in this case, but still probably the best way to go.

@phaedrux
I am happy to take the probe off before every print because I am getting really nice first layers that way. Now I am going to see if there is a way to have a message on the paneldue that says "Attach probe" and "Remove probe" with two print pauses in the start gcode. That you make the hole thing look more polished. -

Check out the M291 command. It can pause and display a prompt for ok/cancel.

Your M665 H value is way to high for a Q5.
with a stock q5 it should be no more than 220.
