Solved Ender 3 Maestro BlTouch not homing
-
Hi, this is my first post to a forum ever, so apologies in advance.
I upgraded my duet 2 maestro to rrf 3 (RepRapFirmware for Duet 2 Maestro 3.2 (2021-01-05).Now when I try and home Z, I get the following error. "G28Z Error:Z Probe already triggered at start of probing move" Homing Failed.
I am including my config. I worked quite a bit, and tried several things, so I apologize that the config has a bunch commented out (other tries). I am also including my deploy and retract. Thanks in advance.

Can you post your homeall as well?
Are you able to control the pin of the BLTouch with M401 and M402?
Can you also share the results of M122 and M98 P"config.g"?
Can you try this dynamic test described here: https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Test_and_calibrate_the_Z_probe#Section_Dynamic_test
-
@phaedrux Thank you for the quick response.
M401 and M402 do nothing.
The BL touch flashes red (the whole body).

The BL touch flashes red (the whole body).Do you mean that sending M401/M402 causes the Bltouch to start flashing? Does the pin go up and down at startup?

@phaedrux said in Ender 3 Maestro BlTouch not homing:
M98 P"config.g"
As soon as I turn on the printer the BLtouch immediately starts the fast flashing (LED). The BLtouch never drops and retracts the PIN for self test.

I think your BLTouch may have a bent pin or something then, because it should drop and raise the pin as a self test. Flashing red at startup means it's failing that test. You can remove the set screw at the top of the BLTouch to remove the pin to check it.

The pullup is correct. That's what the config tool generates, and I compared to my own maestro config and it's the same. He's also posted his deploy and retract above and it's correct too.
If the pin isn't deploying at power up for a self test then it hasn't even gotten to the config part yet.

@diy-o-sphere @Phaedrux you were correct. Bent Pin. The simple things :). All is good now. Thank you both. Now off to do some printing.
