    Hi,
    Im relatively new to the duet firmware, and after a couple of months printing with an Ender 3 with duet wifi motherboard, the layer time is no longer working properly. Although it shows the current layer correctly on the progress bar, the last layer time doesn't update, neither does de layer time graph.screenshot.png
    For clarification, I'm using cura as slicer, with the reprap gcode flavor and one example gcode is attached (not exactly the gcode from the screenshot because its too big to upload here, but I can upload to my drive if that helps). Also, this is my home routine and config.g files, as I think that maybe this has to do with the BLTouch configuration.
    Any help will be apprecieted.

      What firmware version?

      As of 3.3:

      RepRapFirmware no longer tries to work out what layer number is printing, and no longer provides an estimate of print completion time based on layer progress. The mechanism to work out the layer number failed in many cases, for example when the slicer used variable layer heights or printed multiple objects one at a time. The removal of these 200 lines of hard-to-maintain code has made more space available for other features on the older Duets that are tight on memory space. A consequence of this change is that DWC will no longer produce a layer chart if the GCode file being printed does not include layer number comments. For slicers that do not normally generate these comments (e.g. PrusaSlicer) it is usually possible to add a layer change script to generate them.

        In future releases (with multiple gcode streams and simultaneous printing) it will come handy to pre-calculate layer time of each tool and synchronize them by slowing down the tool with the shorter print path / smaller print area.
        But that will probably be done in DWC or SBC.
        The simulator tool of DWC will play a bigger role then. Writing a combined gcode file from two input streams and detect/avoid tool-collisions a.s.o.
        IMHO it's the best way for older controllers like Duet2 to implement these features . Fingers crossed it will come that way...

          I had a similar problem, but I use PrusaSlicer . Everything came back to normal after adding ;LAYER:[layer_num] to the custom gcode tab under the "before layer change g-code" section in printer setting in PrusaSlicer

              @cadetc My G-Code already has that line, you can see that the board knows which layer it is, just is not counting the layer time.

                Maybe the problem is that the versions of RRF and DWC are different.
                The calculation of firmware was changed in RRF3.3. Maybe DWC is not backwards compatible in that case.....
