      Hello dears,
I'm having a problem with my Duet 3 MB6HC, I'm just finishing setting everything up. I am using a son z probe printer, and when it is about to start printing for some reason the z axis is raised approximately 5mm.

Well since you have no Z probe you are relying on the Z endstop switch to set Z=0.

But does the endstop switch actually trigger at Z=0? Your Z homing code assumes it does.

Presumably when it homes Z, that puts the tool some way above the bed / build surface?

To compensate for that, set the height of the tool over the bed as a negative Z value in the tool G10 offsets line.

            G10 P0 X0 Y0 Z0 ; set tool 0 axis offsets

You can move Z manually to just touch the bed and read the Z position off the display or web console.

(Just built a machine with a 6HC and toolboards, so I've been through all the same stuff recently).

@fcwilt Hello, thank you very much for your answer, I understand what you say but it is not that.
There is a difference of several millimeters when my endstop is very close to z = 0, it seems that the z axis goes up after home.
Delete from homeall and home z a line that said G92 Z0, that seemed to work during one print but the next the same problem started again.

The up movement may be caused by the G1 H2 Z5 commands. Since you have a Z endstop you don't need those commands.

                Try the following:

                • remove them from homeZ.g and homeALL.g
                • move the commands that home Z before the commands that home X and Y
                • to be sure that nozzle isn't dragging on the bed when homing X and Y include a command to move Z away from the bed just a bit before the X and Y homing code.

Then let us know what happens.

                Thanks.

                    OK.

Did you notice if the Z homing actually took place? Was there Z movement?
