Good morning, In order to have a better piece cooling what fan is best between 4010 and 4020 (24VDC)?

I suppose 4020 can produce more static pressure so it could be better but it requires more effort designing the support because it's bigger.

Will this effort repay in terms of better part cooling?
      Thanks
      Andrea

@thedragonlord your two fans seem to be different, axial and radial, an article about it is eg https://paulsfans.com/blog/difference-axial-radial-fan

I happened to have to make the same decision yesterday between 40 mm Noctua fans. I decided by lower noise, how many space I have, air flow and price (for my preferences in this order). For noise level, a difference of + 6 dB means doubling of the noise.

          they are both radial

@thedragonlord according to Noctua, the 20 has more air pressure than the 10. I decided for the 10 because of space, however.

if this is for part cooling you'll find way more designs using 5015 blowers than 4020.

I have enough space for two 5015 so I can use a 4020 as the "biggest"... is there a great difference in term of efficency between them?

                    Which 4010? Which 4020? Which 5015?

As far as I know, Noctua do not make any radial fans - only axial.

I have never talked about Noctua.. in my opinion they are totally unuseful for part cooling...

@thedragonlord my general finding is that bigger means more air flow which is what you want for part cooling.
However, there are also massive differences between different makes of fans for the same size. I had a 4010 radial fan on my delta that I got cheap from ebay which barely did anything. I then bought one of the GDSTime 4010 radial ones, similar to what E3D use on the hemera tool, which is pretty decent. Ideally I'd still like more cooling though in some cases...

Fourth post in the thread does, though.

I'd still be interested in seeing what 4010 / 4020 / 5015, 24V, centrifugal blowers you are considering - 24V centrifugal fans seem to be relatively rare beasts, so a source of a good one would be useful to know.

Doesn't Hemera use a radial 4020 for part cooling? Like this https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B07HRH15R1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
