Stealthburner Extruder for Troodon 2.0 used with Duet boards
-
Is it possible to use the Stealthburner Extruders with the Duet boards? I have a Railcore 2 system and wanted to see if I could use a Stealthburner Extruder.

@ObiWan2Print Yes, it's been done numerous times (why shouldn't it work by the way? ).
A 1LC toolboard won't fit any stock mounts or covers though, if you mean to go that route.

@Exerqtor other toolboards like the fly rrf36 have been made to fit with some creativity. A two part toolboard that's rrf compatible has not been made available as of yet (and it's not clear whether there will be).

Thanks for the replies and info. Just to clarify I am using the Duet 3 MB 6HC board and want to know if I can just plug the extruder/hotend control board output from the Stealthburner into the Duet 3 MB and control the extruder this way. If not is it possible to use the extruder with modifications?

@ObiWan2Print I don't know the stealthburner board. Is it just an endpoint for an umbilical, or a CAN/USB based toolboard with it's own stepper driver etc.? If the former you should be able to connect the wires if you know what goes where; if the latter then it's not possible to reuse it

the SB board is just a breakout board and does not use USB or CAN
