@dgrat what delta printers kit is that? I’m looking to trash my Rostock because the frame is crappy and that looks to be right up my alley

@dc42 I checked the belts and they all seem tight. My joints are these plastic ball cup arms and seem to have no binding to them when moved. I think it might be my carriages or the motors. I emailed seemecnc to see if they had any suggestions.

I’m at my wits end with this. I have tried to run the mesh with the hotend off and on. Tried adjusting the delta radius and arm length but I keep seeing these ridges caused by backlash somewhere. I just can’t quite figure out where

@clytle374 What did you do to fix the ridging? My uncle gave me a rostock max v2 and I upgraded it with the smart effector and duet wifi. I'm seeing very similar results to what you describe.

@alankilian sounds like we have the same setup in terms of arms and carriages. I did see something about the ball cups themselves causing binding so I may see about lubricating those and messing with the belt tension.

Is there a way to do multiple probes in reprap? I know how to do it in marlin. Also unsure about randomizing the points.

This is my first duet board and I don’t have much experience with them.

@alankilian Perhaps it has something to do with the smart effector. Are you using the ball cup arms and injection molded carriages? Not sure how many parts are shared between a V2 and a V3

I am running a duet wifi and delta smart effector on a rostock max v2. After having some other hurdles to get through I was able to get the printer calibrated. The problem I'm running into now is that my heightmap is wonky, the deviation seems insanely high to me and it is far better than the deviation I was getting before.

My heightmap currently looks like this

I thought it was perhaps ridging in the x but it did not look as prominent compared to older forum posts.

I cannot tell if it is a my sensitivity, delta radius, probing speed or acceleration that could be causing such wild deviations.

Has anyone had similar issues and resolved them? I will add my config.g or other files if requested.

@Nxt-1 maybe I will scavenge the parts of this one. This printer was given to me by my uncle and I was hoping a duet and smart effector would allow me to use it properly. My other printers are both Cartesian so I’m not familiar with deltas a whole lot

@Nxt-1 were you able to solve this? I have a Rostock max V2 with duet WiFi and smart effector giving me a similar problem

I keep getting this error (Error: G0/G1: target position not reachable from current position) when I try to do a G28. Is there a certain file I should be looking at because it just started doing this and I cannot figure out why. Please let me know what files you might need if you can help
