    • RE: Driving Servo Motor with Duet3d

      Snap of my config file:

      ; Drives
      M584 X7 Y5 Z8 ; To define new drives
      M569 P7 S0 R1 T2.5:2.5:5:0 ; Drive 7
      M350 X1 Y1 Z1 I0 ; Configure microstepping without interpolation

      M92 X200 Y97 Z4000 E94:94 ; Set steps per mm

      M566 X2000 Y80 Z15 E20:20 ; Set maximum instantaneous speed changes (mm/min) - Jerk speed
      M203 X4000 Y150 Z300 E9000:9000 ; Set maximum speeds (mm/min)
      M201 X1000 Y40 Z250 E1000:1000 ; Set accelerations (mm/s^2)

      Any Suggestion for correction ?

    • Driving Servo Motor with Duet3d

      Hello Everyone!

I have a duet3d driven cartesian printer which worked superfine with high quality prints using stepper motor.
Recently i switched to servo motor (JMC IHSV57 integrated AC servo motor). I have some problems driving the head due to the parameters.

      0_1555146633001_04261f02-d4cf-46fb-a213-3fe86df014e9-grafik.png

Can someone help me with the duet parameters in M569 command with the above graph ?

      currently i use: M569 P7 S0 R1 T2.5:2.5:7:0

The motor moves smoothly but the position feedback is high and the overall movement of the head is not normal. It always tries to correct the position and if i give another command for movement, the motor stops because of driver overload as the previous correction of position is not completed yet.

Has anyone used these motors with duet before ?
      Thanks for the help.

      Cheers,
      Phani

    • RE: 25v output from any pin ? Other GPIO pins on the board.

      Thank you for the reply.

Is the Fan pin capable of supplying 25v output ?
I tried to search in documentation but could not find any point regarding this.

    • 25v output from any pin ? Other GPIO pins on the board.

      Hello Everyone,

Just an amateur question. Is it possible to drive an external tool, power high or low by 25v from the duet board ?

Can we use the stepper motor drivers as a normal pin with the help of M42 commands. I know there is a possibility with expansion pin out but i have already used expansion header to drive motors. So i dont have the leverage of using GPIO pins.

But do we have any other pins available on the board that i can turn on and off by sending commands to drive an external device (a cylinder for extruder extension).

      Can i use Fan1 PWM pin ?

Thank you for the help. 🙂

    • RE: Inductive sensor - Z probe returning wrong measurements

I tried and it did not work.

I got a new TFT panel display same one and the sd card works fine. So i think its the problem with sd card port in the previous panel.

Thanks for the swift response and support!

No. I did not use any of them. I have a duet Ethernet and expansion header for the drivers. Thats it.

Both 4 way cable and ribbon cable are connected. I double checked the connections, they are as per the documentation.

The length is also less than 250 mm because i read that maximum of 400 mm can only be used.

I think the panel due is not able to read or detect the memory card. I ran the firmware diagnostics also and it reports only one memory card i.e the one in duet.

And the panel due throws an error "Error: 1 accessing SD card" . I tried with different memory cards but it still shows the same error.

yeah. I have used the ribbon cable and connected as per the documentation.
From the panel due 'connect SD' to the duet 'Connect SD'.

Is the panel due i7 compatible with duet Ethernet 1.0 electronics and firmware version 1.19 ?
I tried with new board and 2.04 firmware too but it was not successful.

Thanks for the reply @dc42 .

Maybe a bit of miscommunication, but its more about understanding the fault than about the warranty. 🙂

I dont understand the problem with panel Due right now. Its a I7 brand new one directly from duet3d UK website.

But the panel due is not able to read the micro sd card. What could be the possible reason ? Am i missing any connection ? i think there is nothing much from user end because its all straight forward, just connecting the two way wire and power pins.
