      Six weeks, sorry. I was a little overzealous!

      @jannisj:

      where did you get that hotend mount for the anycubic effector?

      -Jannis

      I got it custom milled for me, sketched it up in CAD. I used the holes in the effector plate with stainless standoffs and had it machined to fit the hot end nicely.

      Do you guys have any ETA on this? I'm really excited about it, looks perfect for what I need.

      I'm fine with no piezos. And let me know if you need any prototypes on this side of the pond- there's a few PCB houses in california that have done PCB prototypes for me for very cheap.

      You can count on me to order a set, that looks fantastic! (I have nearly the same hardware down to the 360mm arms)

      Being able to mount things to it with standard holes is a huge plus. Like fan brackets and the differential IR sensor

    • RE: Should I wait for the DC42's PCB carriages or go Robotdigg?

      @Dougal1957:

      Looks to me like the Drylin N series only has 2 holes spaced at 28mm apart on the centre line.

      Drylin T look interesting but they are huge

      Running NW-02-27-P, two 20mm single holes in line. Having a friend machine an adapter to 20mm x 4 M3 so I can use any standard robotdigg/long carriages. Ends up being about the same height as a standard MGN-12. Maybe a little shorter. http://www.igus.com/wpck/3592/drylin_n_NK_02_27

      I have samples, I really like them.

      I'm on 24V and everything is near silent other than the e3d v6 fan- I don't use a fan for PETG. Also my electronics stay very cool as it's typically cold as f**k in my office.

      Other trick with 12v fans on 24v is just set the maximum PWM frequency to 50% and you've got right around 12v. That or wire them in series.

      In for updates. I have RDG carriages with Haydn's magball arms on the way.

      I'm upgrading to IGUS drylin N rails and preloaded slides- will let you know how I fair.

    • RE: Uncalled for pauses during print?

      I'm on a volcano and PETG as well. What nozzle? I did pressure advance @ 0.1, seems to help a little, but S3d is being painful on it.
      (1.2mm nozzle was comically bad- 0.8 works great)

      My prints tend to just "thump" over it as well. I'll check some individual settings if you want.

      Thanks DC42. Perfect explanation.

    • RE: Pressure advance issues

      I'm experimenting with some pressure issues here too. Stumbled on this thread, with adding M572 D0 S0.2 (I have an unusually long bowden tube) things seem much better- still tinkering. What are we actually changing with pressure advance?
