@jay_s_uk, I'll give that a try, really appreciate the help. I'll follow up once complete.

    • RE: Erased Duet 2 Wifi SD card, panic reaction

@jay_s_uk huge thank you to you and @droftarts!!! Reformatting with FAT32 and Creating a firmware folder, I was finally able to get it up and running again! I initially had the firmware folder named as "/firmware" but once I changed it to "firmware" and placed the .bin files in it I was able to run M997 S0 & M997 S1 no problem. 3.2.2 to 3.3 sucked trying to do. for some reason it didn't create a "firmware" file automatically. I had to re-build the file structure manually. I've been racking my brain about it for along time, and I only had about an hour a day to mess around with it, donesky.

      thanks again for the help!

@jay_s_uk That was it, that switch was about 7 years old, guess I got my moneys worth...Ironically I had half a dozen NC switches laying around. 😊 Swapped it out for a new one and it homes nicely and M119 reports accordingly. Thanks again, was really thinking it was something more severe, been a minute since I messed with the software.

    • RE: Erased Duet 2 Wifi SD card, panic reaction

@droftarts I believe I was on 3.0, can remember for sure.

I cannot currently connect to DWC, so I was trying fallback method #1 via the SD and a computer.

so I tried what you suggested and moved the two files to the firmware folder and tried M997 S1 & M997 S0 vis the serial app for OS. M997 S0 gives a "Error: M997: Firmware binary "0:/firmware/Duet2CombinedFirmware.bin" not found" M997 S1 gives a "Error: M997: File 0:/firmware/DuetWiFiServer.bin not found"

on initial connection to the Serial app it gives this message: "RepRapFirmware for Duet 2 WiFi/Ethernet version 3.3
Warning: Cannot mount SD card 0: no FAT filesystem found on card (EXFAT is not supported)
      WiFi is disabled.
RepRapFirmware for Duet 2 WiFi/Ethernet is up and running." I'm almost positive that I formatted the 4Gb card FAT

    • Erased Duet 2 Wifi SD card, panic reaction

My Printer was running just fine on 3.0 and then I started having some issues. long story short I tried updating the firmware unsuccessfully, then I thought it would easier to follow fall back method #1. I think I have really screwed the pooch on this one. I have scoured the forum and tried to follow the SD card formatting/file setup page with no luck. Alas, here I am requesting help. Using serial I keep getting errors when I try M997 S0 and M997 S1. I took some screen shots of the errors, although I don't know if I have all of the required files to even begin with. I think I'm missing something with the guides, looking for validation that I have everything on the card that is required. !IMG_3353.jpg IMG_3354.jpeg IMG_3355.jpeg IMG_3356.jpeg IMG_3357.jpeg

@jay_s_uk, Oh man, they were the end stop switches that came with my original printrbot simple. 3 prong, 2 wires, normally open switch. they've been wired the same way for about 2 years with no issue. molex connector on the y stop connector on the board.

@jay_s_uk pressing the switch, M119 reports the same. I think it may be wiring or switch related. May have been damaged in the shipment, prior to shipping it all was good but on older software.

Endstops - X: at min stop, Y: at min stop, Z: not stopped, Z probe: not stopped

X is contacting the limit switch, Y is not.

    • Y axis Jogs when homed but won't actually home

I had to disassemble my printer for a move, 6 months later, I tried to re-assemble it/get it up and running. I'm running into a problem where when I attempt to home the Y axis it jogs but never contacts the homing switch.

I've completely updated all software, re-compiled the firmware from scratch, tried with and with out limit switches, and different motors. nothing seems to make a difference. I'm stuck, I'm running the most current software as of June 20 2021 Here's my config g

I also was to able to set the trigger height to 0.500 with positive results. It’s printing, albeit a blobby mess, just needs a bit of tuning. Honestly don’t know why the trigger height is so low compared the calibration steps, but it’s working.
