That's sorted it!! Thanks you so much! I'd just assumed that having put the files in there and gone through the upgrade on the main board that they would also get done, hadn't realised that I needed to do them seperately. Also can't believe I didn't think to check it

"Failed to enable endstops" error from 1LC board using IO_3
I have a 1LC board with an endstop soldered onto IO_3 , which has been working fine for quite a long time now. Today, it has suddenly decided that it doesn't want to work and I am getting this error on trying to home:
G28
Error: in file macro line 7: G1: Failed to enable endstops
I have the endstops plugin installed and the switch doesn't register at all, I've also tried using a jumper wire to connet the ground to IO_3 and still no luck in getting it to trigger the endstop plugin. The 1LC is functioning just fine other than that, the hotend works, extruder is driven, fans spin, temp sensors sense, filament is detected.
Any ideas on things I could try?

RE: Deut 6HC - 3HC - 1LC CAN problem
I noticed the differing firmware between the 6HC and 3HC and just updated it, no change to the problem though:

Deut 6HC - 3HC - 1LC CAN problem
I have my 6hc connected to a 3HC (CAN-1) and then on to a 1LC (CAN-121) . The 1LC is a new addition and I have soldered the terminator pads and a microswitch to the board, and removed the terminator jumpers form the 3HC. When I was testing yesterday it worked fine and the switch was triggering and the sync lights were working on all boards. So, I broke it down, attached it to the printer and fired it back up but this time I have a fast flashing sync light on the 1LC and the 3HC is syncing and working fine. I've checked continuity on the CAN cable to the 1LC, replaced the cable, unplugged everything from the 1LC, and tried connecting directly to the 6HC but I am still getting a fast flashing sync LED.
I don't have a very solid understanding of the wiring for CAN but I have definitely got CAN_L to CAN_L and CAN_H to CAN_H, I've reached the end of my ability with troubleshooting this one and hoping for a bit of help1/20/2023, 11:46:58 AM M115 B1

RE: I wired my VIN backwards ...
@phaedrux I just did that, 24v through my normal power supply and 5v through a USB charger connectyed to the same circuit. Power supply is now fried and blows the house fuse when plugged in. Today is going from bad to worse!
-
RE: I wired my VIN backwards ...
@chrishamm OMG, it does! Everything lights up and the paneldue even powers on.
I've checked the voltage to the VIN and there is 24v going into it, so I didn't blow a fure in the power supply or anything, sadly
-
I wired my VIN backwards ...
As the title says, I wired the VIN backwards on a Duet 3 6HC. The fuse didn't blow, and now I've wired everything up the righr way I've got nothing at all, no lights, no evidence of any power at all. Is there anytyhing I can do? I'm devastated by my own stupidity!

G34 z axis auto alignment
Just wondering if there are any plans to support this? It's not listed in the dictionary and I couldn't see it in the not implomented page.

I used this previously on a ramps boarb and it was incredibly useful

RE: I think I may have destroyed my Duet 3 6HC
@weed2all sorry, I seem, to have glossed over your reply! I was in a bit of a tizzy yesterday, wish I'd picked this open up sooner
-
RE: I think I may have destroyed my Duet 3 6HC
@dc42 That's got it! the VIN was showing as 10.2 so I've adjusted that with the trimpot on the supply and it's reading 13 on VIN and 12 on the 12v rail! Thanks for your input everyone, really appreciate it!
-
RE: I think I may have destroyed my Duet 3 6HC
@rjenkinsgb live to neutral, into the 240v conector on the power supply. My fuse box and destroyed power supply disagree with you about it being no problem sadly
-
RE: I think I may have destroyed my Duet 3 6HC
@fcwilt 240 volts wired backwards into the power supply, positive to negative, negative to positive, but I got the earth right at least ...

I think I may have destroyed my Duet 3 6HC
Today I did something really stupid, I wired a switch in the 240v side of my 24v 600W power supply backwards, and then immediately tripped the RCD on that circuit when I flipped it to on. I reset the house, wired it up properly and tried again but the power supply was dead, no surprise there. Then I put my crappy old 12v 360W power supply on and the board actually booted up and looked ok, but when I asked a stepper to move I got an error saying ''Attempt to move motors when VIN is not in range" which has got me thinking that something is seriously wrong on the board as well.
So, while I wait for my new power supply to arrive, is there anything I can do to test the Duet? I'd really hate to have to replace it as it will take me ages to save up for one again!
