I looked around on the wiki and couldn't seem to find one.

Any good guides for setting up dual extrusion?

RE: Inconsistency in height calibration.
I am fairly certain the end stops are consistent yes. I wonder if there is something involving the belts or maybe the motors causing this inconsistency.

RE: Inconsistency in height calibration.
@dc42 no z probe and i am mainly adjusting the rostock's height parameter:

Inconsistency in height calibration.
I'm running a duet on a seemecnc Rostock Max V2 and I have been having trouble with the height. Every time I change the parameter it seems to move the head inconsistently. For example, If the height is 2mm to much, so I take off 2mm, I will bring it to the bed again and it will be 1mm too little. It seems to not be consistent in its movement.

Hotbed overheating
Having some trouble with the hotbed overheating. After various heater tunings and parameter updates I have had no success. The main issue is when I set the target temperature for the bed it will reach and then exceed that temperature, triggering the fail safe. Here is my current parameters:

RE: How to calibrate the extruder
@dc42 That is correct it is un-geared. Thanks for the advice. Ill start messing around with the number.

RE: How to calibrate the extruder
@stephen6309 as Phaedrux said I don't have the nozzle on that's what I meant when I said "not feeding into the hotend, just out if the end of the open tube"

RE: How to calibrate the extruder
For reference I am using a bowden tube set up and while testing this I was not feeding into the hotend, just out if the end of the open tube. I told it to extrude 50mm at 5mm/sec. Instead it extruded around 350mm.

And? Sorry I don't follow what you are saying

How to calibrate the extruder
I have found that my extruder is WAY over extruding. It pushed out a little over 14 inches of filament when instructed to push out 50mm. Seems its over extruding about 7 times too much. I believe this is the parameter I need to change however I am unsure about the formatting of it. Is it a set up as E(steps):(mm)?

Not enough power to extruders
Having some trouble with my extruder not working at a high enough power. I believe it is not getting enough power from the board. Attached is a picture of the relevant part of the config. What should the E value be set to?

RE: Hotend Overheating
@dc42 Yeah I guess I didn't have that in there. Putting it in manually worked perfectly. Heats up to the perfect temp. Thanks again man.

RE: Hotend Overheating
@dc42 its a duet 0.85. Plugged in those values, I thought M500 did that automatically but I realized I misread. Running it again now, I'll report back.

RE: Hotend Overheating
Here's what I get when I run auto tuning:
Warning: Heater 1 appears to be over-powered. If left on at full power, its temperature is predicted to reach 576C.
Auto tune heater 1 completed in 302 sec
Use M307 H1 to see the result, or M500 to save the result in config-override.gUsing M307 H1 gives me this information:
Heater 1 model: gain 551.9, time constant 199.1, dead time 4.7, max PWM 1.00, calibration voltage 0.0, mode PID, inverted no, frequency default
Computed PID parameters for setpoint change: P13.6, I0.442, D45.1
Computed PID parameters for load change: P13Config.g doesn't have any M301 commands in it.

RE: Hotend Overheating
Yes, did not seem to have any change. Maybe edit the P value?

Hotend Overheating
Every time i try and get my hotend to printing temperature (usually 210) it gets there no problem, but then it keeps going until it is stopped and cut off after going more than 15 degrees over the target temp. How can i fix this?

RE: Problems setting up duet ethernet on a Rostock Max V2
@dougal1957 oh interesting I see. Thank you.

RE: Problems setting up duet ethernet on a Rostock Max V2
Alright it now homes perfectly. Now onto my second question haha. First thanks for all your help. Your activity on the forum is life saving. So as i briefly stated the extruder doesn't respond to any input from the paneldue. My only suspicion is maybe since I have no E0 endstop plugged in I need to change that parameter in config but that doesn't seem like it should cause that. Any thoughts?

RE: Problems setting up duet ethernet on a Rostock Max V2
@dc42 Yep you're exactly right. After re configuring the connectors from the stock arrangement the endstop lights are on but you are correct in that I have to change that parameter back.
