  • RE: Heater Wire Gauge

Thanks for the help! I ordered ferrules and a crimper. Can anyone confirm if a 16awg ferrule would fit in the heater terminal? Sounds like it would still be too big.

  • Heater Wire Gauge

I wired up my heater block leads to some high temp wire I had handy, which I think is 18 or 16awg, but this is too thick to fit into my DuetWifi screw terminal. Is there a recommended awg for a 24v 50w heater? Can I just solder a short length of proper sized wire to get it to fit in the terminal, or would that violate that "no tinning the ends" rule I read about?

  • RE: No Voltage from Always-on Fans

Okay, so the "V FAN JUMPER SELECT" has bridged the VIN and V_FAN pins, so I'm thinking that means the fans pin outs should be giving 24V since that's whats hooked up to the psu. What's unclear to me are the other two fan jumper spots "JUMPER INT 5 EN" and "JUMPER EXT 5V EN" are what those are for.

@bearer Could you explain what those jumpers do exactly? I don't understand from the diagram. Thanks!

  • No Voltage from Always-on Fans

I'm very early into testing if all my connections are working properly for my duet wifi board, but the first thing I noticed is that the fan I dedicated to cooling the board itself isn't turning on with it. I used my multimeter and I'm not getting any voltage from either of the two "always on fan" pins. Is this something that might be a configuration issue or is something busted?
    Thanks!
