Hi
can I run 3 stepper motors with external drivers and 2 servo motors with external drivers on the same expansion breakout board from a duet 2?
I understand duet 3 can't run servo motor yet, so duet 2...
thanks

cool!
looks like what i'm after

Hi there,
looking for a gcode command that allows me to pause a print until a key is pressed (or endstop is triggered).
for example, when layer is done, goto center bed and wait until the key is pressed.
key can be also resume on the DWC or external endstop/key.
thoughts?
howdy
so when do you think we can get one for testing :))
any updates regarding duet3 - servo motor control?
@dc42 you mentioned a prototype back in May, any news?
thanks
80% of rated current.
could that be an issue?
Hey,
I get once and a while a strange phenomenon where the direction of my stepper motor changes direction.
I've got M569 S0 or S1 in my config file but sometimes it changes the direction without any warning...
And this happens without changing anything else.
could this be some wiring issue? power thing?
any thoughts?
thanks
@bearer
I think it is gremlins and I think they had a late supper.
I got it to work I think. changed the SD card.
could it be just the cards' fault? is there procedure of formatting the card?
ok I did M21 to restart the sd card.. i have connection and managed to update the firmware.
I tried updating RRF to 3.1 (which the true latest...).
Because I can't connect to the duet 3 IP, I copied the firmware to the SD card then used M997 S0 with the terminal.
but I get an error that it can't be found..
I tried copying it to the SYS and other folders... no success
ok sorry my bad. heres the full M122:

Hi,

All of a sudden can't connect via ethernet nor YAT (usb).
not sure whats up....

yeah but lets say you spliced the gcode, you would still have 2 separate tools with a tool change? no?
any gcode magic to work 2 tools at the same time?
IDXY - how would one write the print file for that?
this is the mentioned motor:
your thoughts?
it seems fine.
just a thought, the step angle of the motor is 0.35deg.
can that affect other factors than my steps per mm?
thanks
Hi there,
I've got this Nema 17 with gearbox 1:5 :
Manufacturer Part Number: 17HS24-2104S-PG5
Motor Type: Bipolar Stepper
Step Angle: 0.35 deg
Holding Torque without Gearbox: 65Ncm(92.05oz.in)
Rated Current/phase: 2.1A
Phase Resistance: 1.6ohms
Voltage: 3.36V
Inductance: 3.0mH ± 20%(1KHz)
I'm trying to use it with my duet 2 wifi RRF 2.05.
I'm getting really weird driver faults and sometimes short-grounds.. I've tried several main boards and expansion boards. I am not sure that's it the motors' fault but that my main suspect at the moment..
is that the case?
