      Wow! Woke up this morning and fired up the printer expeecting to continue the saga. Looked over and what did I see..... A shinny blue light peaking back at me.

      Don't know how, but some of the changes I made last hight (per you'all's suggestions) seemed to have kicked in. Not sure whey it did it wouldn't work last night but did this morning, but i think I'll leave that horses mouth shut.

      Thank you all. I'm quite sure that this is because of your help.

      @Phaedrux
      There are no spaces
      I did a copy/past of your suggestion above and copied it into a file named addWifi.g. My system seems to want to capitalize the “W” so I went with that through out.
      I copied that file to the sd macros folder.
      I opened the file on the Sd and double check that everything is correct.
      I reinserted the sd into the duet.
      I powered the duet up and sent M98 “addWifi.g”
      ...could not find the file.

      I also reformatted an Sd card, copied the addWifi.g to the macros folder, opened it in notepad++ and checked everything again. I tried that SD card and got the same result.

      When do I decide the problem is on the board itself. I have seen absolutly no indication that the WiFi module even works. If the board has gone bad, then I’m out ofluck. Like so many others, the pandemic has left me in the position of not being able to replace it. (Not whining ...I’m well aware there are lots of folks in the same mess)

      Ok, I have done that. I copied the file to the MACROS folder on the SD and confirmed that it was readable and contained the correct info. I used your name "addWifi.g".

      So now I am unsure where to go. How can I run that macro if I can't connect to the Duet????

      If your SSID and password use special characters or capitals and your USB terminal doesn't always respect them, you can create a macro file that has the M587 command in it, save that to the macros folder as addwifi, and then use M98 P"addwifi" to execute it.

      The only special charactor in the pw or ssid is the "@" Other than that it's just a mix of upper and lower case letters and numbers.

      Also the Duet will only work with 2.4ghz networks, so if your new router is 5ghz only or uses a combined network name for 2.4 and 5ghz you may need to change that to provide a separate network name for 2.4ghz only.

      I turned off the 5gh network when I installed the new router so everything runs through 2.4gh. The router does not seem to see the Duet and I can not ping it. The blue network light is still out. Something seems to be turned off or not working.

      Can you think of anything else to try???

    • Unable to attach after network wireless IP change

      I had to take a break from Duet for six months for medical reasons and have lost a bit of my memory. During the break, I had to replace a computer and routers so now I have a new IP schema on my local network.

      When I fired up the printer with the Duet Wifi v1.04 board, I expected, but didn't see the blue led blink to tell me it;s looking for the network. In YAT with USB attached, I get a message that no networks could be found when I try to run the M552 S0 command. I thought I might need to download and install some duet drivers on the new computer, but could not find any. Am I nuts about the blue light expectation? There are several wireless networks visible when I look. The duet is only about five feet from the router.

    • Once again, Bl Touch blink issues....

      This is getting really old. I love the BLTouch when it’s working and absolutely hate it when it starts blinking again. I know that the problem is most likely the contacts on the cable are not making good contact, but I’ve tried everything I can think of to eliminate the issue with only short lived successes. I got it working by pinching the hell out of the connector on the BLT itself, but then half way through the print it started blinking again and stopped the print.

      I’ve tried replacing the cable twice, most recenly with a cable that reached the duet thereby eliminating the connector near the hotend. I squeezed the connector into its seat as far as I can (I’ve already had to replace the BLT once because I squished a bit to hard and broke one of the connectors just below the female receptical.

      I don’t know where to go from hear. I can not seem to get a reliable contact between the BLT and it’s cable. I really don’t want to give up', but I need fresh ideas about what I can do.

      unfortunately, I have not done much with the terminal and Duet.
      I am using YAT and when I hook up the USB to my laptop, the will power up even if the p/s is not running. I am not sure if the p/s needs to be on for this, but in ether case output looks like this:

      M522 command is not supported<LF>ok<LF>
      M522 S0;
      M522 command is not supported<LF>ok<LF>

      the port is set to 9600, 8, none, 1 I have
      to assume that the Duet is able to recieve ok since the message above would indicate it understood what I sent.

      Sorry if these are a bit rudimentary problems. These days, I seem to be a rudimentary kind of guy.
