@PaulHew thanks heaps. Setting the laptop to enable DHCP has fixed the problem, although i'll need to look into being able to set my laptop ip as static to suit some other applications

RE: Unable to connect to DuetWIFI
I think I see a problem.
The ip is set to 10.1.1.182, but my router is assigning 10.1.1.184.If this is a problem, how does my phone connect?

RE: Unable to connect to DuetWIFI
Thanks for the reply.
I did the ping and got the similar results.
I tried to use edge, but got the same can not connect error.
It must be a windows firewall problem? -
RE: Unable to connect to DuetWIFI
I can confirm that I am able to connect by wifi to the printer from my phone, just not my laptop.
hmmmmm, i'm very confused, but im sure someone here has the solution -
Unable to connect to DuetWIFI
Hi, Its been about 6 months since I used my printer, and now im having issues trying to connect to it.
I can confirm that the board (Duet WIFI) is connected to my network because when I check on my duet Panel, I get the message "WIFI Module is connected to access point ...........10.1.1.184"
If I log into my router, and can also see the printer is connected to 10.1.1.184I have run through this https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Guide/1.)+Getting+Connected+to+your+Duet/7
set up page again, but im still unable to connect.
I found that I am running version 2.02If I type "10.1.1.184" into my Chrome address bar, I constantly get the unable to connect message.
I think im having an issue with my laptop maybe, like im forgetting a setting.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.

RE: Hot end: Auto tune of heater 1 failed
@dc42 haha, yes woops. Swapped it out for 24V. Thanks again

RE: Hot end: Auto tune of heater 1 failed
@phaedrux I came home tonight and checked my heater cartridge, and yes it is a 12V cartridge.
I swapped it out for a 12V cartridge then ran auto tune again, and voila, I now have a functioning hot end. Thanks. -
RE: Hot end: Auto tune of heater 1 failed
@phaedrux
Hmm, no-not tested.
I'll test it tonight when I get home. What kind of resistance should I be looking for each voltage cartridge?
What is the resistance value I should be getting for 12V vs 24V?
Im pretty sure its a 40W cartridge either way, but It should be easy enough to figure out -
RE: Hot end: Auto tune of heater 1 failed
The temperature plot looks smooth. The only problem is that it doesn't stop heating until it reaches the maximum temp which is set to 280°
Everything in my hot end feels secure, although come to think of it I haven't tightened it in its heated state.
My cartridge is definitely 24V.

Im a bit of a newb at this, so im sure im doing something wrong. Hopefully somebody can help. Here is my gcode and settings from tonight.

First time using duet - x+y motors move together
I've just finished wiring up my new build with a duet wifi v1.03, and for what ever reason my x and y motors move together.
I am using the screen I bought with it.
When I move the tool with the -10 or 10 button on the screen, both motors (x+y) move. The direction changes dependent on which motor I try to move on the screen.I haven't upgraded the firmware yet, but have created my configuration using the online configurator tool. Only reason I haven't upgraded the firmware yet is that my laptop fried itself recently, so im stuck on my work laptop, on which I'm not allowed to install any useful software.
I figured if I could get connected by wifi, I can update the firmware through the Web app.I have checked all my connections a number of times, so I am certain it's not something hardware, but rather in my config.
On the screen, it says the machine is running 1.17 firmware, so that's what I've set in the configurator, along with setting the firmware type to native.
It also can't connect to my wifi. I'm not sure if the issues are related or not.
My wifi id has 2 words with a space. Does that worry the duet wifi?I'm a bit green to this again. Have had my printer for a few years, but shelved it some time ago, and just getting it going again with some new electronics.
Thanks.
