    • RE: How to install DWC

Finally it did upgrade one of my machines to the new DWC, I think only when I did a full install rather than just the DWC. Not sure, it was real late.

Kind of related to what @Danal was saying, I had another problem with uploading a full set of configuration files. Heres what I did...

Selected all files in configuration, including pause.g, etc Heres a shot of the folder after it downloaded showing all the files...
      Zip Download.JPG

Then I uploaded those files to a different configuration folder the normal way using the "Upload system files" button, then selecting the download.zip. After it was done it reported 29 files downloaded, and the folder shows the new dates on the files, so it looks ok.

      download succesful.JPG

But when I really look only 14 files made the trip, so no pause.G, etc. Which by the way causes some very strange behavior on the printer when they are not there 🙂

      only 14 files.JPG

I can get past this by just pulling the SD card, but it seemed worth sharing, and to get any thought about errors on my part.

      Thanks again...HD

@jay_s_uk Thanks, I was trying to avoid the SD thing cause I have a dozen of these to do. I was hoping I was just missing something obvious in the way I was doing it.

Upload used to be in the Settings/General tab, but now I think its under FIle management/System, which has me wondering how it works when using multiple configurations, which I am doing at the moment. I wouldnt think it would matter, but maybe it does. All of my printers use multiple configurations in sub folders, and none of them will update the DWC after uploading the files.

Actually I have no idea what version I have these days. It says 2.0.4, but then theres DWC 1, and its all just a bit confusing whats what these days. I hope someone comes up with a chart to make it easy some day.

Either way, I spoke to soon when I said it worked, it didnt. it reloads DWC after uploading, but the version never changes from 2.0.4.

      This completes, but no update.

Never mind, it works when I revert back to DWC1. I guess it wasnt part of the last release. Not sure.

Whats the new secret for uploading DWC to Duet wifi using DWC?

Usually I just click upload, and it uploads, then installs, but now it just uploads but does not install. Tried using Chrome, Firefox, IE, but neither seem to work.

IS there a new procedure for this?

      Thanks...HD

Trying to understand what is what here.... 2.0.7 that came in the last release (3.01-RC5) is the same as 2.0.7 from before? (No change?)

Should we expect anything to be fixed in the latest 2.0.7?

Should we not expect fixes until 2.1.0 is released?

I have been hoping for this one to get fixed for a while...thanks

    • RE: CoreXY movement calibration

What are your Z screws setting on? It looks to me like inconsistencies in your Z axis causing a lean of the whole part. It looks like it gets worse as the part gets taller. I had similar problems when my Z screws were coupled directly to the stepper shafts, which had endplay, and inconsistent springiness that could not be controlled. As one screw advanced less than the other, the bed tilted and the part leaned just a bit causing a very similar affect. I think it happened lower in the print as well, but the error was amplified as the part got taller, and seemed to gradually appear rather than start late in the print.
Do your screws rest in a bearing meant for thrust load? It looks pretty good from the pics, but I cant tell whats at the bottom end of the screw.
(Mine ended up on pin roller thrust bearings, but my beds get to weigh 40-50 lbs empty)

@Phaedrux Thanks for the update. Yes cosmetic, but causing us to make mistakes when setting individual nozzle temperatures. We adjust the numbers in our head for now, so I hope we can untrain when the numbers are correct on DWC2. Any idea how long before DWC2 gets released?

      Thanks...HD

If I knew HTML I would dig to find out why it displays the wrong numbers. I dont see anything in the config that might cause a discrepancy on the main HTML page, it it makes no sense that the numbers would be correct in one pane, while different in the one right next to it. Everything functions correctly when I run all six nozzles, so its not the end of the world, but would like to figure it out someday.

@aego Also you should be using 192.168.0.55 for your browser address (or 192.168.0.55/reprap.htm to use DWC1)

@aego try forgetting the network with

      M588 S"dlink-3DC4"

then adding it back to the list with

      M587 S"dlink-3DC4" P"<wifi password>"
      (replace with your actual password)

Connect Duet to wifi (if it doesnt automatically)
      M552 S1

then check it with M587 again

Not sure why but when mine has gotten hosed up in the past this is how I recovered.

Sounds like the IP changed on ya. Use YAT and send M587 (no para) to list net info...

Is the blue WIFI light on solid? If so, it is connected to your Wifi, and you just need to know the IP address.

      If not these may help...

      To set the network...
      M587 S"SSID" P"password"

      To forget the network
      M588 S"SSID"

      Also
      M552 S0 = Disconnect Wifi
      M552 S1 = Connect Wifi

    • Heater numbers incorrect in DWC 2.0.7

Still a problem in DWC 2.0.7 with heater numbers in the tool list.

Trend chart is correct, but tool list shows heater 1 twice, and omits the last heater regardless the number of heaters

I have another machine with 4 printheads that does the same thing at DWC rev 2.0.4

This problem only happens when combining multiple heaters/drives on one tool, but not when I configure them independently.
