Good to know that plugging even the USB cable to a PC will cause magic smoke while powered on. I didn't know it was possible.
Hopefully this is just a lost-in-translation thing, because it is not a given that plugging in a USB cable will cause magic smoke. It can cause magic smoken given other faulty wiring in either the printer or even external to the printer.
