    • RE: Delta printer Z axis movement vs Z tower movement

Thanks Danal, I had to fire up the old macbookpro to use sed, it did not work in windows sed but worked great on the mac. I am making a side dump axis that follows the z axis for printing with a Mosaic Pallette+. This will save so much print time and filament.

    • Delta printer Z axis movement vs Z tower movement

I need to create an axis that follows the the Z axis of a delta, not the Z tower movement, just the Z coordinate. Other firmwares use the alpha, beta, gamma for the tower movement, is there a way I can separate this in RRF? I have thought of doing this with gcode using a U axis that follows the Z position but I would rather use the hardware.

      Check this.

here is the data sheet for Openbuilds motor
      http://www.motechmotor.com/products_detail.php?id=159&cid=71&page=2

I copied the google doc so I could edit it and replaced one of the other motors with this data and then change the info at top to match my or your machine.

I use the duet wifi to run those motors, and they are at 2.4a(3a in the future) and run great. I have a fan cooling the back side of the Duet Wifi. Yes the Duet Wifi + Duet5 can do everything you want to do.

I have setup a delta with mhackney's FSR mounting plate and followed his installation guide and it is first layer perfection every time.

Yes you control it the same way as when wired directly from the Duet board to the bed.

I completely agree! I am able to print flawless first layers on large parts with a 0.4 nozzle and .2 first layer height and 100% width, Tricklaser delta. Thank you David for all the hard work!

      M119
Returns the current state of the configured X, Y, Z endstops. Takes into account any 'inverted endstop' settings, so one can confirm that the machine is interpreting the endstops correctly.

    • RE: Automatic XY skew calibration

I think it is worth the time and effort to implement and it will be very useful in regards to further CNC development were probing to correct angular error is even more essential, the larger belt driven gantry systems as an example. You could even probe the beds edges and then drive gantry motors independently to physically make the the machine square . I would like to see not just skew but what siemens calls cross error compensation for all axis, as in probe a machinist square in the x axis every 2 mm and correct for angular between points by moving the y axis, also called geometric or sag compensation.
