Thanks for your suggestion.
With "M106 P2 S0" in config the laser is still on for half a second or so.
So I guess there's no possibility to set the pin to "default off" at start.

Hey,
after some time I updated my firmware to 3.2-beta1 and since then my "fan2" pin is always on at the start of the RepRapFirmware. I have a Duet 2 Ethernet board.
This probably would'nt be a problem if a fan had been connected, but I have a laser connected.
With only M950 F2 C"nil" command there is no change in this behaviour, but I managed to switch it off instantly after start with the command M950 P0 C"fan2".
But I'd rather have it being switched off from the beginning as it was before the update for security reasons.
Do you know what suddenly causes this behaviour? Should'nt be all pins switched off by default?
Thanks

There's no reason you can't use firmware retraction when selecting reprap flavour in Cura. I do.
I can't find a setting in cura that outputs G10/G11 when g-code-flavour reprap is set. Could you tell me where to set this option?
@bot said in Volumetric extrusion = massive overextrusion!:
I've never used volumetric extrusion before, but do you have to set the E steps per mm to be in volumetric units?
Can't imagine this is the case...
Thank you for your answers. I will definitely try the suggestions and reply, but for now I have to solve another issue first:
https://forum.duet3d.com/topic/14954/volumetric-extrusion-massive-overextrusion
I have a CoreXY-Printer with duet ethernet and use volumetric extrusion because with Cura and g-code flavor setting "marlin (volumetric)" I can use the firmware retraction feature of RRF (3.01-RC3).
But even though I configured...
M200 D1.75 ; set all extruder filament diameters to 1.75mm
... I get an overextrusion of more than 2 times the wall thickness setting (0.4 - actual thickness: about 1mm)
My e-steps are configured correctly and now I don't know anymore where to look for the error.
Here my duet config.g:

Thank you for your answer.
So you think a pa-value of S2.0 is normal even though the instructions imply that it should work with 0.1 for my tube length?
I have an CoreXY Printer and following e-jerk values activated: M566 X900.00 Y900.00 Z12.00 E120.00
How would I have to adjust the values to get more "normal" speeds?
I have a bowden extruder with the tube about 400mm long.
So it's suggested to use M572 D0 S0.1 as pressure advance value.
I did the testprint as instructed on the wiki pake about pressure advance and did'nt get a result when playing with values from 0.1 - 1.
Then just for fun I tried to use 2.0 and got a beautiful finished z-seam.
Of course the printer is extremely slow as it's written in the wiki.
Does anybody have a clue what's going on here? Is there another incorrectly set option that could cause this situation to occur?
Thank you very much!
