@t3p3tony I did have a BLTouch attached when this problem occured. The printhead was literally ready to go (assembly wise). The BLTouch didn't light or cycle. Same BLT performing just fine with an older tool board in place of the 1.1.

RE: TB 1LC 1.1 defective all of the sudden?
@t3p3tony, @dc42 please feel free to ask any questions you guys might have.
I just heard about Sanjay. I'm still in shock, I think.

RE: TB 1LC 1.1 defective all of the sudden?
@dc42 I only noticed the dim 5V LED after seeing I had no CAN Sync LED. When I disassembled everything and ran it only with 24V and CAN, I don't think it was lit at all, but in all honesty, it could've been overlooked. High res of both sides of the board incoming...

RE: TB 1LC 1.1 defective all of the sudden?
Confirmed, my 0.6 1LC syncs and boots just fine. All LED's display as they should.

TB 1LC 1.1 defective all of the sudden?
I booted my BLV Cube up this morning, only to realize that there were a bunch of errors in DWC, all pertaining to my toolhead. I first checked to see if the 1LC was having CAN synch issues, the ONLY LED that was lit was 24V, 5V looked incredibly dim.
This was a cold boot. The printer had been performing flawlessly prior to this. Absolutely nothing was changed in regards to printer setup. After pulling the tool board off to inspect it a bit closer, I noticed that the center of the board (like, just about dead center of the board) is pretty hot to the touch. This is at a total idle, with nothing but the 24V and CAN plugged in to the board.
I am about to boot this with one of my older boards to if the same issues present themselves.
Thanks to all that have read this far!

RE: Anybody wants a stepper motor analyzer?
@zapta said in Anybody wants a stepper motor analyzer?:
Hi @pastthepoint, I am glad that other people building these boards. Do you remember when you downloaded the gerber files from github and what version number is printed on them? The reason is that at one point I changed the design to allow a usage of the Pico's Programmable IO so I wonder what version you have.
I believe that this is the CL that introduced the new version (MK3)
https://github.com/zapta/simple_stepper_motor_analyzer/commit/bc6e5b5a2bedd1de99014e725a0701d6f68a7b74#diff-ca5a89d660952f0b6ae9894238e524ca0ef82bbc301a53af0931c1be35b1f6ebACS70331EOLCTR-2P5B3 was always difficult to find in the US unless if you buy hundreds, or willing to use a smaller QFN package/footprint which is more difficult to solder manually. I order them from Aliexpress.
For the 5A ACS70331EOLCTR-005B3 should fit but never tried it. It will also require a change in the firmware for the new scale (otherwise everything will work but current readings will be 50% of actual).
Let me know if you encounter any issue.
I have some coming from Aliexpress too. I should've ordered more. I also have some screens coming. I have the v1.0's. I'm assuming those are still the current ones?
Thanks Zapta. Your work is awesome!

RE: Anybody wants a stepper motor analyzer?
@zapta I was too impatient to wait for the next run. LOL. I ordered a run of 30 PCB's from JLCPCB, they should leave China tomorrow. I'm having a slightly difficult time finding the ACS70331EOLCTR-2P5B3 current sensors here in the US. I have some coming from China, but, again, impatient. What were the 5A optional ones you had in mind? Maybe those will be easier to source?
Your work is amazing. Thank you so much for sharing this!!!

@zapta is it too late to jump in on this??
Super interested!

RE: Duet Buddy - a proof of concept remote monitor
@richardmckenna Have you shared the new code on github? I have everything setup, I just need to know the address to request from for the Duet 3's.

RE: Duet Buddy - a proof of concept remote monitor
@pastthepoint I'm an idiot. I'm running a Duet 3 w/ SBC. I don't know if it means this will not work or changes need to be made.

RE: Duet Buddy - a proof of concept remote monitor
I know I am late to the party, but did this ever get figured out for the Duet 3's? Mine just keeps saying "Bad response from duet"??

RE: Source of firmware for Tool1LC expansion board
@dc42 Is it me, or does Ariana really just seem like a manufacturer trying to obtain all of the resources needed to make their own T1LC's?
Just a hunch.

RE: Guide to Marlin's Fast BLTouch Probing feature on Duet
@dc42 So, instead of attempting to use P5, I can use P8/P9 in it's place and this should function? With everything going on, I can't remember yesterday, let alone the exact details of why this didn't work, lol. But, if you think it will work, I'll give it another shot!
Thanks for taking the time to reply @dc42 !

RE: Guide to Marlin's Fast BLTouch Probing feature on Duet
Sorry to bring this back from the dead, but for those using a Duet 3 and Toolboards, this will NOT work. "Only Z probe types 8 and 9 are supported on expansion boards"
I wasn't paying attention when I was setting everything up. When I tried to actually do a fast probe, I got the error message quoted above.

RE: To verify, if I have the following, using the toolboard...
DC,
As someone who LITERALLY just opened the package containing my new 1LC Toolboard, is there a way we can make a BLTouch work with the board alone, or do we have to run extra wiring? -
RE: Duet 3 Mainboard 6HC - initial production run.
@T3P3Tony said in Duet 3 Mainboard 6HC - initial production run.:
@gtj0 it is determined by cable length. With the cables we supply we expect at least 10Mhz will work well, Iam currently running 5Mhz with no issues and after TCT will try extended periods with 10Mhz.
The image comes with 1Mhz as a default - thats conservative but till allows for a high throughput.
Tony,
I despise bothering you like this, but is there any news on any units being available? I've got cash in hand, and this would be PERFECT on the rig I am putting together!Doug instructed me to come bother you.
Thanks!
