Hey thanks for that. I’m not at the printer till tomorrow now but I will defiantly try a few of those settings.
Keep my fingers crossed as I've spent hours trying to solve it.

OK, long story short, I tried to go to the 2.05 first but had the same error. Then I copied the missing file "Duet2CombinedIAP.bin" from the v 3.00 and put it into the /sys file on the SD card. Hey hit the money, all the upgrades went as they should.

Holy Cow!! How backward can I be. My wires are connected to the endstop. Thanks for the picture, with out it I would have been convinced we where talking about the same thing.
I've just redone it now and started the mess. Looks like its working.
