well I have been tinkering with a magnet design. I placed some heat tolerant magnets under the aluminum and print on some thin steel with buildtak on it. I got some glass to see if I can sandwich it to keep the build plate flatter and still keep the flexible steel.

RE: Bed leveling noob
Ok I got it too give me a much nicer map after really reading and changing around the mesh. I got one decent print and now the mesh says its active and knows where the dips are but does not seem to compensate for them. I have a big dip in the middle so the corners are nice and flat but any print in the center is too far.

Bed leveling noob
I have been having some issues with the mesh leveling. I get a lot of errors saying certain points are skipped in the console but I see the bltouch hit the bed just fine physically. Another issue is that when I do get an acceptable read it doesn't seem to matter since it doesn't compensate. I got one good print and now the edges are flat but the center is too far from the nozzle. The bed is aluminum so warping is possible but after one 2hr print?

RE: Thermistor issue
true enough, been using the extension for another part but it was held in such a way that worked and I did not notice that it was not a good connection.

Thermistor issue
I was having issues with my beds thermistor so I swapped it with one from an old hot end. I changed the config as needed and read 2000c. I hooked it directly without an extension I was using and it reads fine. The wire gauge is similar. The extension came with it from the old hotend. Thoughts?

Bltouch Help
New user of reprap. I have a bltouch on an i3 clone and right now the mesh compensation is not working correctly. During the process I get a message about taking too long to respond or after physically completing it the mesh was not created based on my adjustments of the bed.
