Thanks for your kind words. The next step for him is to improve the thermal simulations to predict the interlayer adhesion strength. We are planning to develop it as a web app (the FE analysis will be done in the cloud using Amazon Web Services) where you upload the geometric model and get the approximate settings for your requirement. You can then use the settings in your respective slicer (KISSlicer/Slic3r/Cura).

Here is the link to the thesis by my student Vishal. It is about the effect of various FDM parameters on the strength of a part. In the end he developed an optimization routine which gives the infill type, infill density and perimeters for a 3D model given displacement/stiffness criteria. It will give a good starting point while designing parts by FDM rather than the trial and error approach.
Everyone in the forum, I appreciate your valuable feedback in this regard. I will soon send a video recording of his presentation and slides. Please feel free to share it. It will help us shape the future work in this area.

Thanks for your feedback. It is more of our team's knowledge limitation (mechanical engineers but not developers/programmers) rather than the approach. I will soon ask my student to release the code and knowledgeable persons can integrate it with slicer. It doesn't have to be a single approach.

@otaku521 I too face the same problem - web interface shows a different value and I have to refresh the tab to see the current value.
In previous versions, it is either connected or disconnected. When it is connected, it is in sync with the actual print progress.

@dc42 @Hergonoway The problem is solved. I reduced the frequency F parameter to 10 to see what happens and voila, PWM worked. Then I raised it to 100, still worked. I am yet to check higher frequencies (will do in the evening).
Previously, I used F25000, F500 and F100 but it did not work. Now out of the blue it works. I haven't changed anything in my setup.

@dc42 I noticed one more issue. It happened twice after 2.0RC6 upgrade (past 2 days) - whenever I update the config.g file, DWC says it cannot be updated and loses connection. It shows under system editor only config.g.bak but no config.g files.
When I shut down the printer and restart again, it cannot connect or show my tools because config.g is not present. I have to take the SD card out and rename config.g.bak to config.g to make things work again. This never happened to me in previous upgrades.

@Hergonoway I have trouble running the pump with thermistor from PWM controlled fan ports but I could run them with always on fan ports. Here is my post about it:

I even shorted the legs of thermistor and tried from PWM fan ports but no luck. If you have any ideas please post it.

Thanks for your help and suggestions! My knowledge in electrical engineering is very limited so pardon my silly questions. I use duet v1.01, may I know where is the MOSFET source pin? I am trying to write the procedure in steps based on my understanding.
Step 1:
Check the resistance between V_FAN pin of FAN_0 and V_FAN pin of Always on Fan
Step 2:
Check the resistance between MOSFET source pin and ground pin of Always on Fan - Where is the MOSFET source pin in Duet wiring diagram
For Step 1 and 2 what are the typical resistance values?
Step3:
Connect the pump with thermistor to one of the PWM control fan pins then measure the voltage between:
(i) Negative pin of the PWM fan connector and VIN Ground terminal (-ve pin of the power input)
(ii) Positive pin of the PWM fan connector and VIN Ground terminal (-ve pin of the power input)
(iii) Mosfet source pin and VIN Ground terminal (-ve pin of the power input)
In the duet wiring diagram, if you can indicate where is the MOSFET source pin, it will be helpful.
If it involves a high probability of blowing up a MOSFET, I rather prefer not to do it because I do not have the skills to solder them back.

@dc42 you are right. I took the SD card and made subfolders to make sure there are less than 25 files in each folder. Now I see all the files in DWC.
I did a small 1 hour print and no issues so far.
