In my temp chart the hotend is displayed by a wavy line which I presume the Duet2 is turning the hotend on/off continuely
I have tuned the temp for the hotend and used the results it gave me.

I thought I saw a post the other day about this, but cannot find it.

My other printer is a continuous flat line for temp on the hotend.

      Thanks.
      Paul

@paulhew have you tuned the hotend PID loop using M303?

        See: https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Tuning_the_heater_temperature_control

Yes I did use the M303 command, I will however try again.

If you don't have a silicone sock around the heater block on your hotend I would suggest doing your heater tuning with the part cooling fan turned on and the nozzle fairly close to the bed.

Can you show a picture of the graph? What kind of wavy is it?

After calibration... You have saved results? Think M500...

What post calibration message in console?

After re doing the PID tuning, it came back with different parameters than I had the first time.
I manually change the values in my config.g as opposed to using the shortcut.
I now get a consistent temp.

@Phaedrux I cannot show you now, now that I have fixed it. 🙂
