I stared like 10 minutes at his photo and didn't see the error, thanks to @jens55's remark, it all made sense

Completely glossed over that one. Should have looked at the diagram.

But my test asked to disconnect the bed wiring and test the terminals without an SD card present. Was that not actually carried out?

@Phaedrux I didn't, I just disconnected the SSR and used the wires

I guess then with vin being fed into the bed terminals it was also present on the actual win terminals. Of course.
