Duet 3 failed to connect to RRP
-
I’m just hoping it’s not something serious. I was really hoping to get my printer to work sooner than later. If it is a hardware issue I purchased it about 3 months ago, would I still be able to exchange it for a different one if it’s still under warranty?

Couldn't see anything, but maybe the relevant part is under the temp daughter board. (But mobile and way too early so maybe someone else can spot something)
-
Remove the temp board. It looks a little askew maybe?
-
still nothing the 3.3v LED lights still off and the board doesn't connect.
-
@1997alex please can you check your wiring very carefully as the it looks like the 3.3V regulator has been damaged (or another IC on 3.3V has been damaged and is holding 3.3V low). Are any of the ICs getting hot?
-
@T3P3Tony the wires were hooked up properly and everything was working. After this incident the board didn’t want to work anymore. I just checked once again the IC’s and non look like they were damaged, I don’t know if it was just me or if this chip is odd. I circled it. There’s a small dot that the others don’t have.

I think the board isn’t going to work anymore from your analysis and I’ve looked over everything and nothing seems to be getting hot at all. Would I just be able to get a replacement board and send this back, I’m not sure what happened but it definitely isn’t connecting to the web interface, some what frustrating since I can’t continue to work on my printer.

Yes it appears that your voltage regulator has failed.
When and where was the Duet 3 purchased?
-
@Phaedrux I purchased it from filastruder. Luckily I saved the box and packaging.
-
So, could an admin please let me know whether or not the board can be exchanged? I'd like to start back on working on my printer. its still under warranty.
-
Yes, please contact Filastruder and initiate a warranty replacement. Include a link to this thread as authorization.
